Now that our teams playoff hopes have faded. What changes do you see Saban making?

Is Howard done?

Does Gilmore see more plays?

Does defense show even more 3-4 looks?

Do we sit Taylor to rest that foot?

Does Ricky sit more so Ronnie gets all the experience he can?

Does Sage or Cleo Play?

I've always known we are Retooling/Rebuilding, and believe Saban has my confidence. (SO PLEASE NO SKY IS FALLING POSTS!!!)

I hate games like today but this season has still been fun to watch, and am just trying to get a handle on what changes we may make to test the waters for next yr?

Thanks all! GO DOLPHINS!

You know, I'm thinking the same thing, but I don't see any really. I say that because we don't have the depth to compete in games. Although we might not make the playoffs, and alot of people have this play "the young guys" approach, its so much more than that. We saw with Gus and Zach out today, what our youth is like. While I'm not complaining about that, I just think they could not compete with this league. That's not far to the whole team (aka veterans), nor to the fans who are paying money to watch the games. In the end, you lose money, fan base, faith in your players, so much more. So, I think you will see the same. Gus, not Sage or Cleo. Jason Taylor, not Matt Roth. Junior Seau, not Donnie Spragan (if healthy). Lance Schulters (not Travares Tillman, or Yeremiah, depending on who plays the SS for T.Jones). Same ole Same ole, and just hopefully these guys can string some games to catapault them for next year and help their trade/FA value.

none....I'm almost positive that the same exact lineup will take the field at Oakland next week

well, unless you consider Gus reclaiming the starting role a change....

I can see that we'll have two new QBs for sure next year... Gus & Sage is done.

I believe you are right, my friend. The changes won't happen this year unless Gus gets injured again and Lemon is given a shot. As much as it pains me to say this, Gus is the best prepared QB on the team. I believe that the status quo will prevail until this season is mercifully put away in the record books.

I have to disagree. It's hard to turn over two Vet QBs. I believe that Sage will not be resigned but I think that Gus will second or third string next year.

I would agree thats my take to! IMO Saban's attitude is to show that no matter what he wants wins, so he'll keep his best chance to win on the field! But at the same time he is a very cerebral coach that IMO also may make some changes. I'm up in the air on this and can argue each way on what is better. Thanks for input

I agee, I think Gus will be retained as the #2 QB, which is perfectly fine with me

Unless we sign a big name free agent QB, I think Gus returns next year. Sage is done. If we only draft a QB we will still need a vet to start for awhile. What young players are you hoping to see? The Fins have zero depth.. there isnt anyone else to start. Wanny did nothing to increase the talent on the team and we got progressively worse and older until he was fired last year. the only complaint that anyone should have for Saban is the fact he didnt draft a QB last year. That mistake wont happen next year.

What do we have to lose? Give Lemon alot of second team snaps over the next two weeks, then move him to first team then start him.
We lost 22-0. How much worse does it have to get before we try something?
Im just not content to sit the rest of this season and watch the quarterbacks go out there.
DO SOMETHING SABAN!

one change i like to see is the Secondary showing up to the games..i cant believe the coaches allow them to sit on the sidelines every week

they need to give up on the year and test everyone out. Then there is also a good chance of tanking the rest of the season and having a nice pick

That is what he (Saban) has been saying all along. He basically said we want to win with what we got right now, by putting the best team on the field. Now after all our critisizm and out landish suggestions re: Sage, Saban turns out to be the wizard of OZ. Most of us wanted Sage to start and all the other possible scenarios, Saban went against his better judgement and somehow subscribed to what we all wanted and now we see the the end results. Pity we can't hear him saying I told you so.

That is why he is the Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins and we spend out time here on the forums second guessing his descisions.

I agree! Saban has said we play to win. And I have never second guessed a thing,(except Howard getting the nod again) we are heading in right direction. But changing personel and then game planing to win does not mean we are giving up. NOTE: I do not subscribe to the idea to lose out to get better picks thats the crap way out!

Now I know this Qb situation is tough and its been beat to death!!! WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER POSITIONS?

I'm wondering especially on Defense since Saban seems to take a bit more time on them, is there anything anyone sees that may change. Any players that may switch around etc..??

AND NO DAMN CRAP LIKE THOMAS AT SAFETY LOL!!!
