Third downs..both on offense and defense.
The defense had them in 3rd and long on several occasions, but couldn't make the play to get the Jets off the field. It seems we had a hard time matching up with what they were doing on 3rd downs, due to scheme or talent in the secondary.
On offense, the team just couldn't come up with enough plays to keep us out of having to go on long drives against their defense to score.
I don't think one player or one play cost us this game, it was the inability to capitialize on 3rd downs both offensively and defensively.
I think this can be corrected and the team actually held the game close in a game that they played like crap. That has to be worth something. I didn't expect miracles in year one, but the team looks better already than I thought it would all year.
Imagine when they actually get comfortable in the schemes on offense and defense.
