What could have been...dif take on Ogun trade

What same O-line ? We have four new starters and after watching the the Titans game over and over, this line has potential and may just take them some time to gel.

That is all we "FANS" can do at this point.....hope that they gel. They can not get any worse. I just think that the LINE is what Miami needed on Offense not WR. Even with Boston going down. Just because they are new does not mean that they could not be upgraded.

This might be the Line around week 10.
LT ~ D-Mac :)
LG ~ James :cooldude:
C ~ McKinney :shakeno: (Ruddy is still better :roflmao: )
RG ~ Carey :)
RT ~ Wade Smith

 ~ C just needs to be upgraded!
 ~ Carey as the RG is not the best spot for him. But Wade has to be in the line up.
 ~ Wade might be better at the RT.

Maybe next season Rex Hadnot can step up.

I just wish the Phins had a GOOD CENTER!

I look at the situation from the other perspective. If RS had signed Ogun to a huge contract assuming we were all set at WR and RB, we would be screwed right now. We would not be able to trade Ogun and afford the cap hit. We would be dead on offense and not have the cap room to do anything about it.

People would be complaining about the $$$$ going to the defense and the offense suffering for it.

I believe the trade was the right thing to do. Teams have to make salary cap decisions all the time.

Again.....This team cannot afford another big contract on the defensive side of the ball.......

Does that me we dont resign Pat Surtain?

Pleeeease Wanny hadn't invested on offense in 4 years.
He gave up 2 first rounds for RW and that was it.
Look at the QB position nothing for four years.
Other than Chambers no Receivers.
TE pure luck with Mcmike.
The OL nothing for four years.
How many LB and DBs do we have in our back pocket.
Ogun will not do as well as he did here because JT doesn't play for the Bears.
Wait till he's doubled lets see how many sacks he'll get.

Believe me if Ruddy was better than McKinney, we would sign him. Because you know what, he is still a free agent!!!!

To say Ruddy is better than McKinney is just plain wrong. Hadnot will be good, and Carey is NOT a guard. He was moved back behind St Clair like a month ago. He will be starting next year. This line is a little better now, it will be much better by midseason. By next year?

Thats alot. He also added Lamar Smith, Travis Minor, and Leonard Henry.

Ray Lucas, Brian Griese, Sage Rosenfels. You may not like the moves, but they still happened.

Thomson, McKnight, Ward, Tolver. Again, you may not like the moves, but they still happened.

That's just dumb. Donald Lee also looks good. Was that lucky too?

Wade Smith, Seth McKinney, Taylor Whitley, Todd Wadd, Jamie Nails, Todd Perry, Marcus Spriggs. Attempted to get Olin Kreutz.

Please try to not be so blatantly wrong.

Just enough to replace a few starters in a couple years.

Why do feel it necessary to discount the good moves he made? Why pretend he cluelessly ignored the offense rather than acknowledging he made mistakes?

Like it or not, but when this offense finally gels, Wanny deserves the credit for Chambers, McMichael, Minor (as a 3rd down back), Thomson (as the 3rd WR), Smith, McKinney, and Whitley. Thats 5 starters and two reserves.

Oh, and the defense has remained strong and we are in good shape with the salary cap. I'm glad he was replaced as GM, I just not willing to ignore the good things he did.
