We gave up a 2nd for Culpepper last year, of course we can not recieve equal compensation. Do you all agree we could get no more than a low 4th to 6th rounder for him possibly turning into a 3rd if he competes and is on the field for 70% of snaps.

I think we could get no more than a 4th to a high 6th

your thoughts?

i say nothing because teams are gonna know well eventually release him

Who says?

Who says we will release him.Maybe Cam is covering bases with Trent.Sounds like a great idea 2 me.Maybe DC is done but if we give a 7 as insurance.Sounds like a good idea to me!!!!!

in his present condition? nothing. No team is going to trade for a player who hasn't proven he can come back from the injury that has kept him from being near 100% for so long... not to mention having to re-do his salary, which I don't think he'd be willing to do again because even he has doubts he'll return to form. Now, you could pay him his salary and try to nurse him back to full health just to trade him for a late second day pick... but you'd be out of your mind.

0. If we have Trent Green, a rookie, Cleo, and Daunte, logistically someone has to go. No team carries 4 QBs. (Although I think we should, because Trent is Daunte's insurance policy, the rookie shouldn't play until 2008, and Cleo is a good cheap backup...Daunte is the guy). so teams would expect us to get rid of him. Not to mention that teams would be very cautious in taking an injured Culpepper (good job Nick).

If we bring Green in, DC's gone. I doubt they could pay what they're going to pay Green & what DC's due, so IMHO DC's out. No to mention they're going to draft a QB fairly high & you can't have so much jing going to the same positioin when only one of them will start. Everyone's predicting him to get the boot if they aquire Green. I just hope he's in good enough shape to get us something.

a 5th would defitnetly be nice. It is gonne be a while before we pick after the 4th pick. I honestly think teams if interested will wait until he is release.

I think we could get a conditional 5th rounder that could escalate to a third depending on playing time. Thats fair to both sides if you ask me. Id do it in a heartbeat.

I really wanted to see Culpepper succeed in Miami but it looks like it is time to take a different direction. The knee still isn't healed and we can't just sit around and wait for for him. Time to heal this wound that has been bleeding since Dan retired. Bring in the vet and draft some rookies. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

IMO, Miami would have to carry Culpepper in 2007 and display him playing good football during real games in order to trade him for anything in 2008.

I just don't see this FO of Cam & Mueller doing that. If they don't think he's their guy for this system (healthy or not) his not being healthy is the out they needed to move on. (Or move out.) Sorry, couldn't resist.
