Let's see what the general consensus is...

A better thread then this, hopefully.

We're not trading Jason Taylor. Nothing is a certainty, but I can nearly assure you we are not trading him. What we will get in return is not as good as what we have.

... How many of these threads are you going to do?

no way we could get a first hes too old to get a first ......a 2nd MAX

2nd round pick is the highest I think considering his age.
You don't give up 1st rounders for 32 (how old he would be next year) year old players.

The general consensus wants better threads and no "hey, let's trade the few decent players we have on out team all the way up to Ronnie Brown" threads. Trading JT would be a disaster. You can't replace him. Matt Roth tries but isn't doing the job. Few players have the capability to disrupt an opposing defense like JT and be a classy person. Players like that come once in a blue moon.

If we could get a 1st rounder... I would take it.

How much longer do you think he is gunna be able to disrupt defenses like he has in the past... 1, maybe 2 more seasons? He is gunna be 32 next year, and wont be with us much longer. He prob wont be here for when we make a superbowl run, so why not get someone who will be?

It would suck, but I would definatly do it for a 1st rounder...

Trace Armstrong had been here way longer and he still managed to do all the things JT does. Michael Strahan's way older than JT and he's still churning out double digit sacks every year.

Dont get me wrong, I love JT... I didnt say JT wouldnt be productive after 1-2 years, I am just saying that he wont a disruptive force the way he has in his carreer in a couple of years. His age will eventually catch up with him. If we could land a 1st round draft pick, especially one around 15-20... it would be well worth it. We could get a stud on this team for years to come, where as with JT we only have him for a couple more years...

Taylor and Madison for Simeon Rice and Ronde Barber? 1 - I don't want to trade them and 2 - I doubt that trade would go thru on their end but it's just some fun to throw around.

I don't think we would get enough value to trade him. He is priceless on D.
