3 posts like this, so far you are 3-0 on making the idiotic threads. To trade away verterans is dumb, it doenst matter what we could get because it aint gonna happen.

IN an earlier post you said that the 49ers were better off after they traded Montana. By that logic Marino should have been traded sometime in the mid 90s. If Montana is tradable then Marino was too. (using your logic)
Your not going to get a better player at Zachs or JTs position by trading them.
YOur not going to get a rookie to come in and bring what they can bring. SO why would you trade them?
IM not bashing you here ( I think its a stupid idea you have) but I see no logic in trading two guys when your not going to get fair value for them.
As bad as things are going I cringe in how bad they would be without these two guys playing for us.

We've lost 18 of our last 25 games. Some of you are still living in WannyWorld where you think we're "close" to a Super Bowl. We're not anywhere close to making another run for the Super Bowl. We're two or three more offseasons of rebuilding away from making another serious run. By the time that day comes, ZT, JT, and Madison are either going to be in the twilight of their careers or retired. These are the hard truths of the matter.
The 49ers still had a first ballot HOFer in Steve Young after they traded Joe Montana. When Marino was in his mid/late 30s, we had Bernie Kosar, Craig Erickson, Damon Huard, etc. behind him
Imagine if Marino had been born ten years earlier. Imagine if we had drafted him in 1973 instead of 1983. You're damn right I would have traded Bob Griese, one of my favorite players, at some point in the mid/late 70s. That's basically the kind of situation the 49ers were in with Montana/Young.
BTW, the year after Marino retired we won the division. So if we could win a division title after losing Marino, what in the world makes you think we won't be able to compete for a Super Bowl two or three years from now without ZT, JT, and Madison?
How the heck do you know? Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor were not even taken in the first or secound round. What in the world makes you think Saban/Mueller cannot find the next generation of gems like ZT, JT, and Madison in our upcoming drafts? If they're unable to find gems in our drafts, then we're never going to make a run for the Super Bowl with Saban.
You're not thinking long-term. Of course a rookie isn't going to play as well as ZT, JT, and Madison, but the rookie we may gain from trading one of them may blossom into an even greater player in the long run, giving us a top-notch player for the next decade. The more picks Saban/Mueller have at their disposal the more likely they are to find the next generation of Zach Thomases, Jason Taylors, and Sam Madisons.
There comes a time in your life when you need to end certain chapters and move on, as painful as it may be. The same holds true for a football franchise. I strongly believe we ought to end the JJ-era. As much as I've cheered on ZT, JT, and Madison over the years, and hoped that they would lead us to a Super Bowl, it's just not going to happen. It's time for a completely fresh start. This is now Saban's team, not ZT & JT's team. It's time for us to get younger and hungrier.
It's hard to do much worse than losing 18 of our last 25 games. We're 0.333 right now. That's atrocious. It's time to get younger and hungrier.
AquaAssasin said:well blitz you might as well wanted to trade marino we the fins never went to the super after the 84 season and spiraled downward, then resurfaced to get embarrrassed in the playoffs everytime miami made it..
Marino in his final year couldnt even throw a good pass when he played the cowboys and got embarrassed by coakley. Gee you must have wanted him to be traded , right? He is old, not hungry anymore..Need youth, right!

I hate when fans of my favorite team look so stupid.SarahAnn said:I said a 4th round pick but i think it could be anywhere between 3 through 5. Zachs getting old.
Inwhite, no one is making you stay. I'm sure those on gang green will love to see your return.
