What did Heath Evans do??

Does anybody know why Heath Evans was cut? He seems like a good locker room guy, he has been the Patsies leading rusher for a few weeks in a row, and we do need a fullback. It's not even like he was traded, just flat out cut. As far as character, if his is bad, I dont think Belicheck would have picked him up.....

I found it puzzling as well. We weren't going to use him in the manner he's being used up in NE, but it was an odd cut.

I think it was mostly an issue of us needing a huge, road-grading blocker at fullback, which heath is not, while new england needed a rusher. He's a pretty good rusher, but he's neither ronnie brown nor ricky williams, so we cut him.

This would make sense then, however, he is talented, couldnt we have converted him to a TE?

darrian barnes (sp) is a much better blocker than heath was, barnes is doing very well and he has a tough attitude that he wants to go straight after linebackers.

True. The guy is doing a really good job, especially in light of his being a street FA.

Yup Barnes has brought in a snot nosed punk attitude to the FB spot. We don't need a rusher when we already got 3 guys who can tote the rock.
