If my ears aren't decieving me, I believe I just heard John Clayton say on Sportscenter that by trading Ricky Williams, the Dolphins may go after Edgerrin James. Can someone first please back this up so I don't feel like I'm crazy? Then, can someone please ask me why the Dolphins would pick up Edge?

Why would the Dolphins pick up Edge? :D

Yeap that is what he said, I think Clayton was smoking the same stuff that made Ricky Retire ......

That would be stupid. Why get rid of Ricky who is willing to play for peanuts for Edge who will want a big payday?

Maybe we are going to trade RonnieBrown...Move up in the draft and get Cutler...I dont what Saban thinking

No way that would happen

The cap hit would be HUGE

Honest mistake.

You can't expect a guy that studies team needs for a living to remember something so trivial like the Phins taking Ronnie Brown (a guy Belichik said was the best back to come out since LT) #2 last year and him having an awesome rookie year.

That would be impossible. I don't know how exactly how it will work, but if you trade a player with a contract, the rest of his salary for those years gets piled on for next year's salary cap.

We'd have millions of dead cap money if we trade Ronnie Brown, I think.(I don't know how it works exactly).
