I'm starting to think we should've given them anything they wanted. 5 firsts? Deal. Tua, Jackson, Iggy, waddle and philipps is what they turned out to be.

we screwed up too by winning. The Bengals were smart and purposelly lost all year so they could get Burrow.

We decided to do the "right thing" and win a few games, but as we know with modern society, doing the right thing rarely works lol.

we should have lost out

I honestly question whether we would even be smart and take Burrow or if it still would have ended up as Tua. As insane as that sounds.

I agree. Then there are fans on here that always say “you are not a fan if you want your team to lose to get the first pick”. These are the same fans who then later drool and wish they that that said player e.g. Burrow.

We were appropriately set up to win zero games that years. Flo even tried to blow it and did by sending zero blitz after zero blitz vs Washington and it worked, we lost! Too bad it ended there.

Yea, Bengals weren't going to move that pick.
Unless we had a young proven QB on the roster that we were willing to trade, which would of made no sense for us to trade for #1OA.

Has it ever been verified that Miami did try and trade up for Burrow? But I agree with the sentiment that the Bengals were not trading that pick.

Burrow looked great the little of him I saw yesterday vs KC; but man, Jamar Chase looked like the 2nd coming of Randy Moss in that game too.
Doesn't hurt to have that.

I’m starting to think Miami will never be good again until they have a really bad season that lines up with a generational talent at QB available. When they are really bad like in 2005, they freaking take Ronnie Brown #2 overall. Or next time one comes up in a draft Miami just needs to say fck it here’s our draft we want the #1 pick. It’s like the only thing they haven’t tried.

Miami had this exact kind of show me game last year vs Kansas City….late in the season at home, having a decent season, Kansas City comes in on fire. Dolphins failed. Bengals passed with even better weapons than the chiefs to combat Kansas City with than Miami.

Reminds me when I asked Halle Berry what her price was and she wouldn’t accept any money. What a dumb thread
