did you want him to say that he was leaving the dolphins for alabama while there were still more games to play? then to sit there and try to coach and try to get his players to play hard for him when they knew he was jumping ship in a few weeks... i wouldn't have...

i think saban is getting way to much **** about this lying from everywhere and everyone... i think this article is more of how i feel...

Nah man..He should have been a man and finished out his contract in the first place..The little b**** should have finished what he started..

Yeah...I mean, if he'd done that, we mighta finished 6-10 or something! :rolleyes2

"I have no comment concerning anything other than winning ball games for the Miami Dolphins. I am not the coach for Alabama so I will not answer any questions about coaching Alabama. I am the coach for the Miami Dolphins and if you have a question about the Dolphins then ask away."

or

"I don't comment on rumors and speculation, I'll address those questions after the season is over. Right now I have a job and it's with the Miami Dolphins".

If he knew he wanted to go to Alabama, then he should've quit during the season. It might've given the Phins time to try out one of the assistants as head coach for some games to see what they were capable. And it would've been someone who at least wanted to be part of the organization.

To have NOT accepted the job as head coach of Miami in the first place. He should have kept his butt in the college ranks.

He is nothing but a crybaby waffler. He can't make a decision to save his life.

No. I wanted him to have the common decency to show up Wednesday and address the people he berated for a month and tell them he was leaving because he did not want to be here. If he had done that I would have been fine.

Rather than facing the music chose to run to Alabama. That really compounds the lying. As for the lying I understand what people are saying but I still find it amazing that everyone accepts it because everyone does it. That simply makes no sense to me. But not only did he lie, he was arrogant and abusive about it. Rather than saying "I am the dolphins coach and I am not going to talk about or comment on any other coaching positions" or rather than saying "I am not going to coach Alabama" he said "I am not going to coach Alabama and how dare you ask me about it etc.........how can you justify that?

its amazing how a man can be hated for doing what is best for his family and for his happiness... you call him selfish for leaving, but aren't you all selfish for wanting him to stay in a situation him and his family obviously didn't want to be in?

he tried the im not talking about alabama stuff for a while, but it never stopped, so he said im not gonna be the coach, yeah maybe he shouldn't have said that, but if he didn't he was gonna get bashed anyway for not answering the question...

oh he didn't honor his contract, like thats such a crazy thing in the NFL... i dont undestand the absolute hatred for the guy now... its a little overboard for him making a mistake and saying one thing to get the press off his *** about alabama... if his heart wasn't in it, aren't you people glad hes gone? why so much anger, ****s crazy...

He could refuse to comment. He could say he will address it at the end of the year. But to batantly lie about it and act ticked off that his integrity was being questioned. That is just weasely, slimey, bald face lieing. Then to bail out the back door and call his coaches by speaker phone???

C'mon. It was classless

he should have said nothing regarding what his decision was going to be. he should have just said it was a decision he was going to make in the offseason.

Would have been better to say "Right now my focus is on the Miami Dolphins and finishing the season. I will not answer anymore questions regarding the Alabama matter until the season is over." That's all he had to say, plain and simple. Then, when pressed over and over again, he could have gone into his "I told you that I'm not going to discuss that anymore" routine. Instead, he flat out lied to all of us.

How about be a man, and tell his players, coaches and the fans he was leaving and why, not punk out and run like a little girl......I was one who wanted him gone anyway, he did us a favor......Just be a man about it.....

It is not that he left but that he wasted two years. He could not manage pro athletes.

He called this his dream job.

How can something go from being a dream job to a turd bucket in 2 years unless your supervisor is a jackass??!!

People have a right to be angry and upset.
