Aside from the fact that they all blow, were 2nd round picks for the phins that were busts, and not that Henne and Beck have both gotten me banned.

No. I will tell you what it is. They all arent nearly as good as GREG McELROY!!!!!!!!!

Thats right folks, Greg ****ing McElroy. The guy everyone said was such a great kid, smart etc etc, but just didnt have the physical skills and the arm strength to play QB in the NFL. I think its all the same things people said about Chad Pennington btw. Thats who McElroy reminds me of. He could be Noodle II.

And I would bump the thread for you, but apparently that wouldnt be allowed, so feel free to search in the draft forum yourselves and find where WVDolphan(me) of course suggested that the phins not only draft Mallett with pick 15 overall, but also take a shot on McElroy in the late rounds. Thats right. The two players who had the best performances in the 2nd halves of week 1 of the preseason could be QBs on our team right now if the FO of the phins had once again just listened to my advice on QBs. You would think by now they would be reading what I have to say. You know, after they have been embarrased and all by taking a LT instead of Matty Ice. But, apparently despite not having a clue, these clowns refuse to try and get one.

To be fair, TJ Yates was the other QB aside from McElroy that I thought would have been worthy of a late round pick as a sleeper. But, either way, I was all about taking 2 QBs in the draft in order to attempt like hell to solve our problem. It appears that simply drafting Mallet wouldve been good enough, but it sure as hell wouldve been nice to have both of them on the depth chart.

And I know what youre thinking. Youre saying "BUT WV, we had good picks in the late rounds. Clay is going to be a beast and he is the only guy we drafted in round 6 while McElroy went in the early 7th. We didnt have a 5th rounder and with our last pick in round 7, we got Jimmy Wilson who is going to be a stud!!!"

And to that I say, Clay surely looks like he could be a contributor, however he is at best a solid H-back type player and at worst he is just another guy who starts at FB for a year or two before being cut. Either way, he simply isnt as good as McElroy who is a QB, we desperately need a QB, and the position is much more important than Clay's role will ever be. Even if McElroy is nothing more than a backup, that would still trump a player like Clay in value. And Im pretty sure that the sorry *** Jests have found themselves a solid backup in the least with McElroy. They will have no need to keep Brunell beyond this season and no need to go out and sign a veteran backup next season. McElroy has them covered.

As for Wilson. Ok he might be good. Hell, he might even wind up being a starter one day and a pretty solid CB. As for now, I say he is a nickel corner at best and you guys are overhyping him a bit, but I dont doubt the kids potential to be a solid starting CB one day. He very well might be a huge steal.

Problem is, he might be in prison here in a year or two as easily as he could be our starting CB. The kids a thug. Were talking about a guy who killed a man. And sure he didnt get 25 to life, but read the story. He clearly killed a guy. Perhaps the guy deserved his *** kicked. Maybe he even deserved to be killed. Thats harsh I know, but perhaps Wilson did the right thing. I wasnt there. But, I do know not many people deserve to be killed. And if the guy did nothing more than beat Wilson's aunt, then killing him might have been a bit much as badly as I despise people who hit women.

But, again, I wasnt there so I dont want to judge. Perhaps Wilson had no choice but, to kill the guy in order to save his own or someone else's life that night. All I know is that he indeed committed a homicide and the case went to court. I know he also left town following the incident which is shady. When you follow that up with Wilson biting a woman a year or so later, I believe we have a thug on our hands. Wilson of course claims it was a playful bite, but the woman did press charges against him. I dont know how playful a bite like that can really be. When you consider his past, to me it spells thug. I will root for him because he is a phin, but because he is a thug, I cant say I will ever be a big fan.

So there you have it. We drafted a FB and a thug CB instead of a brilliant QB with great character who might wind up being the steal of the draft for none other than the god damned Jests. These morons running this team get worse everyday. 3 2nd round picks we have spent on QBs who are complete busts, while numerous QBs who are way better get taken in every round you can think of by other teams. :(

I was going to say they all set the Dolphins back by about 2 years a piece...but your post works too.

Greg Mcelroy...? See now you are a Diva...?

And had Saban just drafted A. Rodgers this is a moot point now isn't it???

So your ripping the FO for passing on M.Ryan for an ALL PRO LT but supporting in your Avatar the coach that passed on a Superbowl winning QB for an average part time runningback. That makes a lot of sense!

hahahaha i'm a recent UF graduate who has watched almost every greg mcelroy start at bama and he's no chad pennington, not even close, there's a reason chad was a 1st rd pick despite his arm strength and mcelroy was a 7th rd pick, mcelroy can be a top college qb, however he's not an nfl qb, just watch and see

um ya i hate our qb situation and i think henne blows.. but mcelroy doesnt have the physical tools to play in the nfl. He should've had a pick 6 but luckily was called back. he couldnt score points against the backups, backups of the worst secondary in the league last year.. what a terrible post

Wouldn't surprise me to see McElroy start for the Jets at some point after Mark Sanchez continues to suck. Kid is extremely smart. That being said, not a starter in this league. Will be a very good backup QB though. Definitely better than Henne though.

I'll be 100% behind the next coach to take a quarterback in the first round. Even if they whiff completely, at least they attempted to get a coveted quarterback instead of struggling to find a hidden gem with potential.

not to mention that 0 of his draft picks are still on the team
