What do Feeley and Brady have in common?

i know. they both have stars. one at all times and just one of them. the other in the plural sense after contact on the majority of snaps. is it that theyre both late round draft picks? (5 and 6)

man, i knew it all the time. theyre both playing the next Batman with Brady doing the stunts and AJ doing the non-action scenes.

are they both on your fantasy football team?

did everybody leave the room?

Yeah, I'll tell you what WildBill, get back to me when Feeley plays well against first stringers, and more importantly in games that matter.

I'm all for playing both of them to figure out who is better, I'm not convinced either one is any good.
why would I get back to you dude? If I'm right, we win and we get to spend a first round pick somewhere else. If you are right, we get one or two years of Gus, and a new QB next draft. either way the team is going to be fine in three years. So let me ask you, why all the hostility? I informed everyone from the outset of this thread that I was only comparing AJ this preseason to Brady during his rookie season, because that is the only time in both thier careers that is similar.

Allright..

One....he doesnt use his head when he throws the ball..

Will someone please give me an example of this other than last year when he was basically stuck infront of a freight train every week?

He has played a total of one qtr against starters this season, which is the season you should be viewing him from. He completed a good percentage in his first game this season. No turnovers in that game..and some nice throws. I wont use the DT drop that woulda put him in scoring position because I wont accept Gus drops either.

So....please...give me a concrete example of why you think AJ sucks..other than he just sucks. Pretend I know nothing about the QB position. Give me something to go on. Dont say he looks jittery behind the line..when I SAW HIM TWICE TAKE A BLITZ HEAD ON THIS WEEK...THROWING FOR A FIRST DOWN AND A TOUCHDOWN....

You guys say stuff like...they both suck....blah..blah blah. Neither of these guys suck..and frankly..we can win with both of them. Feeley just gives us the most potential IMO. But Guys doesnt suck....and neither does Feeley.

I am going to go out on a limb here... if AJ brings us 3 Super Bowl rings, I think people around here will start to cut him some slack.

Not me, I will still say we overpaid for him.

Yeah and I bet that if you went back in time and paid 1000dollars for a stock in Mcdonald/douglas in 1950, you'd still say you overpaid when those same stocks were worth millions today.

Good performances during preseason against 3rd and fodder stringers. At least if you compare Brady's Rookie Season to Feeley's current season. The reason I have bothered to go through this trouble is because many people are pooh-poohing Aj's success because it has come against 3rd or worse stringers. While I in no way think AJ is a Tom Brady, I just wanted to point out the fact that before he was a starter, he had to play against third stringers, and he did about the same as AJ. (I would almost compare Brock and Brady, but we have only seen brock for two games, aw, heck, I'll throw brock's statistics up here too.)

So in essence, I don't care what his competetion is, he is playing the way he has to, and he is taking what is given.

Oh and sorry about starting yet another feeley thread, but at least I put some effort into this one and not just an opinion!:D

A look at Brady's Rookie preseason statistics.

http://www.nfl.com/scores/2005/preseason/week3

Week One.

Tom Brady 3-4-0-28
AJ Feeley 4-7-0-35
Brock Berlin 11-14-0-1-117

Week Two

Tom Brady 10-15-0-129
AJ Feeley 6-13-0-1-60
Brock Berlin 4-7-1-0-74

Week Three

Didn't Play
AJ Feeley 16-20-0-95

Week Four
Didn't Play
AJ Feeley 8-14-1-0-90

Week Five
Tom Brady 9-13-0-97

OK from the stats you just put up, it is easy to see Brock is better than both AJ AND Brady. Why have you not rushed over to coach Sabans office and notified him of these findings. We have the best QB in the league and he is probably gonna get cut tomorrow if the word does not get out in time.
These finding are good to know in a lot of ways. We can now cut AJ and save the money and keep Gus as a backup. This will help our cap space as well.

feeley doesnt suck but he should start swallowing the ball more instead of throwing under pressure. hm. uh yeah, thats the ticket.

truly though, both, all of these QBs will be used until we come up with a winning formula but you cant name a starter just yet until you play out the preseason. one more game folks. who knows? maybe both frerotte AND feeley will fall to injury and sage / berlin will be 1 & 2 and we'll have to snag garrett as a number three.

only a fool would not keep the four QBs instead of just three, considering our situation. you just cant afford to cut berlin. the same with e moore and derrius. i hear a lot of talk about cutting these guys. and even though we havent seen enough of him you cant cut kayjay either.

not sure if you know much about football but your roster has to be cut down to 53 players when the season starts...who do you suggest the fins cut?

There is a tiny problem with your comparison. The fact that Brady was a rookie then and had never played an entire game in the NFL and AJ started half of the season last year kind of throws the comparison right out the window.
