What do we do at TE if lose Clay ?

If we lose Clay what do we do about tight end ? We do not need to draft a tight end first 3 or 4 rounds. Entirely too many other positions of need. Very week TE draft class. Maxx Williams and Clive Walford top 2 but have to take right end in second round. Not much in free agency either.

Thoughts ??

Draft best te available in the mid rounds and pair him with the remaining 2. Would have 7 million toward a G or DB.
 
I don't think he is going anywhere. but for the sake of the thread walford in the 2nd.
 
Maybe we draft a TE in the 2nd-4th round range.
 
There is a real chance he leaves. Buffalo is going to give him a nice offer from what I hear. I'm really hoping we keep Big Play Clay!
 
I really hope we don't lose Clay. While he may not be elite, he is a solid TE. Its not as simple to just draft another TE. Look at the production from previous TE taken in the 1st round and 2nd round, Clay is better than Brandon Pettigrew, Jermaine Gresham, Kyle Rudolph, Coby Fleener, Tyler Eifert. All were consensus top TE in their draft class and has been just as productive if not better than all them.

If we lose Clay, we WILL regret it. He's so versatile and can create mis matches. And hes really the only guy who can catch a pass and break a few tackles after the catch.
 
I hope he doesn't go because Lynch doesn't intrigue me one bit.
 
Dion Simms doesn't intrigue me much other than as a blocker. We will never mistaken Dion Simms for Charles Clay after the catch ability or big plays he provided. I know Clay didn't have big plays often but I see Dion Simms making even less big plays, if any.
