After it becoming national news that more than one highly respected GM candidate turned down the job because he wanted to fire him, what do you think is going through Philbins head? I know I would feel very awkward, uncomfortable and flat out embarrassed if I knew that someone was turning down a job in my company because they wanted to fire me and thought I was the reason for the companies failures.. I just truly wonder as Joe Philbin lays in bed tonight how does he feel knowing that not many people respect him and see him as a lame duck coach.. Aponte too, she can't feel too good about herself knowing that she is one of the primary reasons for all this drama..

He probably feels good that he has more job security. He isn't threatened by the presence of a strong GM that has the power to can his sorry ass.

If he is confident in himself, I don't think he would care what some outsiders say. Hopefully it adds a chip to his shoulder.

He's thinking he better win next season or his ass is getting canned.

I don't think any of this is news to Joe. I think that when Joe went out there and decisively started interviewing candidates and then (kind of surprisingly) scored a guy that was in demand, he had an idea that he was not only safe but would be getting more power out of the deal.

Dolphins can say whatever they want. I believe the reports that Hickey is essentially walking in to a situation where Aponte can cut his legs off and Joe has significant input.

Well, I want Joe to have input on the groceries, especially to a man who is new and has to figure this stuff out.

As for Dawn, well, Hickey is her boss. lol.

Hopefully it pisses him off and we see some true emotion of out our head coach!!! I hope this makes him realize that people are putting their jobs and trust in him to do better then he has.. And most of all I hope that this pushes him to be a better coach and WIN the games that we should win.. Have his team ready to smack people in the mouth and bring back the honor proud tradition that this franchise once had.. Go Fins..

He's probably wondering why he got involved in our circus in the first place.

Same here. I've NEVER seen someone interview and be involved in the hiring of their potential supervisor which is what the Dolphins are telling us.
