Because we're so stacked at RB he doesn't get much game time but I thought he did some really good things with the ball in his hands. He's got great hands, very elusive runner. And from the highlights I just watched he's amazing for yards after the catch. He's a really good offensive weapon for us.

One of the things I like about Cobbs is his quickness, his elusiveness. He seems to have good top end speed but he's really maneuverable and can make those quick cuts. Reminds me a bit of Barry Sanders. In some ways he has qualities that i wished all our receivers had. I would like to see him used more often.

Anyway what do you guys think of Cobbs. Do you agree with my assessment with him? What's the best use of him this year? With us so stacked at WR and RB how often will he see the field?

Love Patrick Cobbs, hes a nice compliment to our starters. I completely agree that he is a weapon.

Whenever i see players like him i compare him to Reggie Bush type players. Whenever they have the ball they could score. Cobbs doesnt have the explosiveness of a Bush, Hester, or Leon Washington, but is more(for the most part) consistent, tougher, and doesnt seem to mind playing anything we ask him to.(seen him lined up as a fullback, runningback, wideout, and special teams)

He is a good player for us.

he's an excellent player at what he does...

STs, contribution in the wildcat, 3rd RB, excellent receiver. He's probably one of the most versatile 3rd RB on any NFL roster, and he's not only versatile but he's good at everything he does

He is elusive and has good burst, and he's a solid contributor on special teams. I'd love to see Henning & Co. figure out more ways to get him the ball in space.

When this season is over what would you guys think if they let Ricky go and kept Ronnie and Cobbs? Would Cobbs have what it takes to pick up the slack and share duties with Ronnie Brown? Or is he best kept as a 3rd RB and all around weapon. He's awesome on special teams, he's a great receiver for a rb and a great elusive back. But does he have the toughness the physicality to carry it 10-15 times a game?

I believe he does, we should have been giving him the ball a little more last year IMO. He did good thinks just about everytime he got the ball.

The screen pass for TD and the flee ficker/Wildcat play against Texans, the reverse against the Chiefs, the run up the middle for a 12 yd TD against the Raiders, a couple big catch and runs against the Ravens in the 1st quarter of the playoff game, etc.... This guy is just an all around solid player.

I like the guy but I only want him as the primary backup as an emergency stop gap.

i wanna see him more at punt returns. he wont take it all the way but he will get you positive yards every time and will fight for his yards. teddy needs to start being a reciever.

He does everything you ask him to do, he's runs the ball, catches the ball, blocks, returns kicks, and then he'll cover a kick and go down and make the tackle.

Did anyone notice that Cobbs had more solo tackles than Reggie Torbor last season? He was only six tackles off Ferguson.

He's the type of guy you need at the bottom of your roster to win games, versatile with extremely high character and effort level. You can't not love the way he plays the game.

He is the little guy that always gives it everything he's got. I like him and think our FO loves him.

Patrick Cobbs is a great role payer on our team. He does everything he's asked of him and all he does is make plays. I hope they find more creative ways to use him on offense this year.
