What do you guys think of this formation...

I love the formation when the Dolphins line up with three backs in the backfield. I'm not sure who's on the field but I would assume its either Ronnie, Ricky and Polite/Cobbs. Its a nice run formation and we've gotten big gains off of it. And its a nice change of pace passing formation as well with the maximum protection we get from the multiple backs.
 
I have actually seen that formation recently in a non-Miami game. If this is a formation the Phins came up with...its already being copied also...

I wish I could remember who I saw run it...
 
I love it because there's so many options. 3 guys who are capable of busting off a huge run, and also 3 guys who are very capable at catching the ball out of the backfield. Only negative is that only 2 of Ginn/Bess/Fasano/Martin can be on the field instead of the normal 3 or 4 of them.
 
I feel its a damn nightmare for defenses due to the talent we have at RB position
 
I love when they go in that formation, mainly becsause when they use it has been succesfull...

The Dolphins have employed a three back formation from about week six after they started using the Wildcat formation. If you remember in the Houston game when Pennington threw to a wide open Patrick Cobbs for a touchdown came with all three running backs on the field. We lined up in the same Wildcat formation we had the previous two weeks with the execption of Cobbs lining up in place of Martin. We had set the Texans up for that play by running something similar a few plays earlier.

they didnt create it. its called a full house backfield. its used alot. miami is just now starting to use it because they have 4 great backs.
 
The dolphins have used this formation a couple of times and its not 3 backs but a halfback and a tight end. Fasano has been seeing lined up to the weakside while either of our backs are line up to the right side. This formation is mainly used as a pass protection play but has been employed as a power run formation.
 
It worked well against Seattle, but we haven't seen much of it since.
 
guys what i wish that we could run is a 3 te set and 1 wr and one rb set.

I wonder if miami will ever run a 3 wr and 2 te set and send Fasano deep ?

it would be very awesome if we could find a big wr like Boldin and put him and fasino on the far side and put Ginn, Ricky and haynos on the near side.
 
I'm not completely sure, But was it Ronnie, Ricky, and Cobbs in the Wildcat against the Chiefs when Cobbs got the 44 yd run?
