What do you think about this mock draft

If Dt is the best BPA in the fist round and #9, then okay. I would really prefer an OT or WR. Going LB in the 2nd, only if we have another 2nd round pick; otherwise OT or WR (what ever we didn't take in the 1st).

We drafted DTs in the last two drafts, so I don't think we need another one. Yes we need a replacement for Sprague and Thomas isn't getting younger. I would rather look at LB in FA at this time.

I'd prefer Gaines Adams, Levi Brown, or Landry over Okoye. I know he has tremendous potential. But I just think those other 3 players would ultimately be more valuable to us.

nothing against any of those players, but I don't like those picks from Miami's standpoint.

If we're going to go DT in the first, it should be the big guy Alan Branch because of his size. I like Okoye, but he's best at 300 LBs. Our defense is not built around quick penetrating DTs like Chicago.

I don't hate picking Alexander because he's a playmaker, but there are other LBs like Everett (who is just as good as Alexander, but is a better fit for our defense) available, and players at other positions of need that are better value picks (Ben Grubbs,Anthony Spencer,Joe Staley, any of the CBs)

I guess the Gaddis pick is ok from a need standpoint, but IMO there are better players for us.

If our first 3 rounds were like this I wouldn't be mad, but IMO there are better options

i don't like it dude.

Okoye is a good DT, but he's not a NT. We gotta take Levi Brown at that point.

Also, they're saying we skip on Kalil??? Kalil would be an improvement at center and it would move Hadnot back to his original guard position. That would be a huge pick.

Okoye is the same size as Vonnie Holiday and he is only 19. He is the smart pick if Holiday goes.

Here's a 3 round mock draft from a site i visit regularly. What do you guys think about this mock

http://condraft.com/mocks/round-1.html

I really hate this mock draft. The Patriots and the Jets get way too many quality players. Is anyone else sick that the Pats have two 1st round picks and a lot of cap space for free agents. We are going to have to be very clever and and very lucky to win the division next year.

I'm sorry, but if thats how our draft were to unfold, I would be extremely dissapointed. There are a lot of questions as to how Okoye would fit in our defensive scheme. Add that on to the fact that he is only 19, and you have quite a risky top ten pick, granted he does have a ton of potential as well. I think that Gaines Adams would be a much better pick for his pass rushing skills and ability to play both DE and a little OLB.

The second round pick of Rufus Alexander really dissapointed me. The best center in the draft, considered by some a first round talent, is still on the board and you take Rufus Alexander!? Ryan Kalil would be an immediate upgrade to a position that has been awful for us ever since Tim Ruddy retired. I don't even think Alexander belongs in the second round personally.

As for the third round pick, C.J. Gaddis would help address the need in the secondary, but once again, considering who else is available that seems like a wasted pick to me. Since we lost out on Quinn in the first round, and Stanton is on the board in the third, why would we not take him? He has the skills to be a franchise QB if he puts it all together. I suppose another 4-12 season and a shot at Brian Brohm next year is the answer?

Okoye would be a good pick but I think we would draft Gaines Adams first because of his playmaking abilities off the edge.
We pass on Earl Everett AND Ryan Kalil in the 2nd not to mention passing on Johnnie Lee Higgins in the 3rd?

Whomever did this mock actually think we should go defense the entire first day.

Couldn't have said it better myself. While the #9 pick is up in the air, I simply don't see how you can pass on a guy like Kalil in the 2nd or Stanton in the 3rd if neither of those positions had been addressed.

Yea, I just noticed it was a 3 round mock, and I would be pissed draft day if it came out like that.

I'd be extremely disappointed with that draft.

I would be pretty depressed with that draft overall. 1st round isn't horrible, I would take Gaines instead, 2nd and 3rd rounds are awful.

we must get either Tedd Ginn or Levi Brown with our first pick, those two players give our team more value at #9 than any other player.

I know, but our defense is not built to have 2 small DTs starting (and if you count Evans and Vickerson, we'd have 4 small DTs) We need atleast 1, preferably 2, big guys to take up blocks
