I'm sorry, but if thats how our draft were to unfold, I would be extremely dissapointed. There are a lot of questions as to how Okoye would fit in our defensive scheme. Add that on to the fact that he is only 19, and you have quite a risky top ten pick, granted he does have a ton of potential as well. I think that Gaines Adams would be a much better pick for his pass rushing skills and ability to play both DE and a little OLB.
The second round pick of Rufus Alexander really dissapointed me. The best center in the draft, considered by some a first round talent, is still on the board and you take Rufus Alexander!? Ryan Kalil would be an immediate upgrade to a position that has been awful for us ever since Tim Ruddy retired. I don't even think Alexander belongs in the second round personally.
As for the third round pick, C.J. Gaddis would help address the need in the secondary, but once again, considering who else is available that seems like a wasted pick to me. Since we lost out on Quinn in the first round, and Stanton is on the board in the third, why would we not take him? He has the skills to be a franchise QB if he puts it all together. I suppose another 4-12 season and a shot at Brian Brohm next year is the answer?
