I, for one, believe Martin is finding a scapegoat in incognito. Fact that incognito was not targeted person when lawyers put out their plaintiffs statement tells me that Martin has changed his stance and is now going after multiple players. Maybe he's acting as if its "me vs the world". An extremely gifted man (mentally and physically) is attacking a locker room full of men. A guy who, from this pre draft personality test, likes to be the "anchor" or "enforcer". Since he wasn't able to accomplish the "highest level" and in a sense FAILED (demoted and chastised) as an offensive lineman, he snapped and looked for a scapegoat. This guy knew what he was getting himself into this season. He endured a full season with the same people and had a chance to stand for his rights. Instead he let the **** hit the fan and decided..... Lets throw all the chips in and find an excuse for failure.
This could tell why a dude who has always been successful and his parent and their parents have always been successful couldn't handle failure. Key thing missing is that Martin sent incognito a text saying, it wasn't incognito, he just couldn't handle the nfl locker room. Why did Martin then tell his, highly successful cultured, parents the latter? Then after word came out that team supported incognito, he hired the most successful sports attorney and attacked not only incognito but other teammates?

Is he afraid of failure because of strong emphasis on success from his parents?

Let's check the facts in orderly fashion: first, demoted from left tackle. then, ridiculed for lackluster play at both left tackle and right tackle by fans and media. Then, oline plays infamous prank on him and he explodes and ran away from situation.

Do you think a family as successful as martins would tolerate such behavior without valid excuse?

What does everyone else think though? what do we think the results will end in, as well?

Pissed off baby for having to move to RT.

Martina's motive - quitting

Martina's parents motive - money

He cut and run ... mommy demanded to know why ... he cried. Bam!!!

I think Martin flat out quit the team because he was ****ing WEAK and couldnt handle the pressure of failing at his job while the team was losing.

I think he went home to his Mommy, checked into a facility, and cried on his Mommy's shoulder. I think he then started to talk about some of the things going on and why he was troubled. I think the locker room was only a secondary issue to him and he brought it up only because he was spilling his guts while in tears. His mother then said "let mommy see your phone sweetie" and she read the texts. After that she went into scumbag lawyer mode. Now here we are. Simple as that.

Also, I think CK bashing Martin from the onset of the season got to him mentally and put pressure on him early he couldnt handle. From there he started playing poorly and it lead to all of this. I tried to save our season by propping up Martin but, in the end it wasnt enough. Basically this is all CK's fault.

Could not cut it as a real NFL Player...so now it is pure and simple....MONEY GRAB!!!!!!

I agree (except for the CK part). His parents, scummy lawyers, are looking for a payday for their son. It is just that simple.
Regarding CK, he is an average opine. His facts are cherry picked to fit his agenda. He really doesn't have that kind of power...even over weak minded types like Martina.

I wonder if emotionally it came to a head because McKinnie fit in well right away. Obviously I don't know, but I wonder. It was an emotional reaction it seems.

I sense Martin wasn't thinking and let his anger get the best of him.

I truly believe he doesn't love the game and is in it for money, I know his lawyer said otherwise, but he quit.

A coach once told me, once a player quits, never chase him or you'll be chasing him to play all the time, let him walk.

Hopefully, all Martin's legal counsel will seek is a unconditional release, if this is really not about the money.

Good luck getting picked up.

It's simple. Martin is a ****ing ***** and knew he couldn't cut it in the NFL and decided to get his cut of the pie through a lawsuit because he is ****ing nuts...duh...

But I don't care, I love him, because he is going to get rid of Ireland for me....

That's EXACTLY what it is. Once he blew a gasket and checked into the hospital, his legal team (parents) grabbed everything they could so they could point the blame at the Dolphins and/or Incognito. I think it's quite obvious that he isn't cut out for the NFL, however I think it's less that they were planning this for a long time and more a case of quickly coming up with an excuse for his mental breakdown. I think his parents and lawyer are well aware no NFL team will ever give him another shot, so they may as well swing for the fences with whatever legal means they have.
