Harris, for example, likely isn’t ready to be an every down player. But calling on Harris to be a disruptive pass rusher, even as a rookie, has to be in Miami’s hopes. McMillan will have the chance to anchor the second level along with incumbent Kiko Alonso and fellow newcomer Lawrence Timmons. McMillan’s physical presence has been unmatched by Dolphins linebackers for years; he likely holds the best odds to be an every down rookie starter.

Pouncey’s continued health issues will be a huge wild card this season. But regardless of Pouncey’s playing time, both guard positions need to be solidified. 2016 left guard Laremy Tunsil will slide to tackle this year. That leaves the left guard spot up for grabs between two out of position college centers (Anthony Steen and Ted Larsen) and a fifth round rookie, Issac Asiata. The right guard position lies in the hands of Jermon Bushrod, who nearly retired this offseason.
