I would love to hear Dan's opinions on Beck. He is the 1st QB that has been drafted this early by us since he was. And Beck is basically being set up to be the future of the team, that is mostly remembered for 72', Shula, and Dan himself. If there have already been comments by Dan about Beck that I missed, I appologize, and please post link.

i agree id like to here wat he has to say bout him and to know if he might reach out to im and help him

I remember watching ESPN or NFL Network with the cameras on Beck when the Fins called him...how excited he was yelling Awesome! over and over...that kid was so pysched to become a Dolphin, not just were he was picked in the draft.

Who cares what Dan thinks ..!.. He is no longer with the team, nor does he have any direct interest with the team.. All that matters is what Cameron thinks .. Who cares about Dan. He's done, and he never got Miami anywhere - because he gave it away whenever we were going to run the ball- like Bruce Smith said.

In one of his interviews, John Beck said a lot of good things about Marino and how he hoped to one day be as good as him. He said he made a recording of Dan in a show on NFL Network called "In Their Own Words":

Now he probably doesn't need to watch TV to get some good tips and tricks of the trade from Dan. He can probably just call him up on the phone and talk to him about different things and hang out with him at Dolphins functions.

It must be pretty mind blowing for him all of a sudden. He needs to get used to that spotlight pretty quick though. Being the starting QB for the Dolphins is a tough job but if he plays like Marino used to, he could end up having streets named after him, doing TV and movies ... who knows? Sky's the limit. :D

exactly except for the bashing him part.

Dan won't be saying anything revealing this season until things develop further. He appeared to be lining himself up in the Culpepper camp in the beginning of last year until the ultimate flop happened. Then he just sort of disappeared into the night.

Dan told me Beck is the greatest of all time and Ginn is the best wide receiver evaaaar !!!!

Dan Marino was garbage for half of the offense.. he sucked in technique when not throwing the ball.. That is a FACT.

The problem with Marino was, as great a passer I thought he was, you just can't win a SB with him because of a lack of a running game..

Bruce Smith said it best when I saw an interview with him a few years ago.. he was talking about Marino and how he always gives away the run.. He said, Marino's hips give it away right at the snap .. He turns his hips/waist a certain way and it's a dead giveaway to the defense that Miami was going to run the ball.

Smith went on further and said, even when Marino tried a play action fake (which he sucked at by the way) , teams knew he was going to pass anyway because his hips didn't move after the snap went he went back like they were going to run the ball.

Smith said the whole league knew this, and every defense knew this about Marino for over 10 years .. And that's why he said Miami didn;t have a 1000 yard rusher for so long during MArino's tenure..

I loved Marino's talent throwing the ball.. he had an amazing quick release, he was extremely accurate, and his timing throws and anticipation was off the charts .. However, too bad he didn't work on his play action technique and movements right after the snap without giving it away to the defense.. That was his downfall, and it was Miami's downfall as well.. Marino just told defenses when we were gonna run, and he couldn't sell the play action fakes...If Marino was better at not giving things away (like Montana and the other greats) , I would call him the greatest ever if he worked on that bad trait ..

Dolphin fans may not want to admit it, because of the homerism, but the truth is there were parts of Marino's game where he Truly SUCKED .. And he sucked hard.

Greyboy u are a disgrace to all Dolfans for talking like that about Dan. I can't believe u have the nads to call yourself a fan.
