After all the smoke has cleared I'm curious where this (A) leaves Ted Ginn as a Miami Dolphin, I know he isn't going to be traded but is he officially a 2nd or 3rd tier NFL talent? (B) And what does this say about using the 9th overall (I believe it was 9th) pick in the draft for him...will he go down in the history of the Dolphins like a Sammy Smith (short and uneventful carrier) that left fans bitter at the thought of ever drafting him.

I am interested in all your opinions.

Ginn may not be a number one, but he is a legitimate deep threat. It's not his fault he was drafted that highly by two morons.

Considering ginns ALREADY proven hes better then one of the wrs taken, i dont think it says anything at all. Hartline was already his back up once. lol.

I think this is nothing short of motivation, everyone and there mother knows he was drafted too high but I feel like he has done nothing but improve in his career. It's obvious he is a slot reciever (though if he paired with the right guy he will become someone who will grace the history books), in my opinion Bill did a very unlike Bill thing in the draft and drafted two recievers who will not make a strong impact on this team and as for pat white, he obviously wasn't drafted for his recieving skills so that should have just been left out of that question by any real dolphins fan.

Ginn is coming into his third year as a receiver and that is when most receivers begin the finally emerge. I mean he is much younger then most people think, I think he just celebrated his 24th birthday a few weeks ago.

The best example of receivers developing is Santonio Holmes. I mean everyone thought he wasn't going to do anything then he won the super bowl for the Steelers.

This year will prove a lot about Ted Ginn and his career with the Dolphins in the long run.

exactly. we've had many, many worse 1st rounders selected who had better conditions to thrive than Ginn had before last year plus nfl receiver usually takes awhile to master.

If anything, I'd say this draft represents a vote of confidence for Tedd Ginn.

London and Wilford should be scared with the draft of Turner, those are the big men red zone threats, and Harline is more of a Greg Camarillo style player... not cause their white. But GC may be on the PUP for the early weeks.

What you should really think about is that 99% of people wanted Brady Quinn at that pick...what has Quinn shown in hes few starts...not much...at this point I honestly would take Ginn over Quinn at that pick.

Did anyone watch the last game of the year against the jets or the game against the bills. Ted Ginn completely owned secondaries with pennignton throwing to him. dont get me wrong, i love chad and think hes great and all but hes the worst type of qb for ted ginn, once we get a big arm behind center, ted ginn will show everyone why he was selected number 9.

What? God I hate posting here there is always a know-it all smart @ss.

Do your homework before you try to talk down to people, this is on Whites Bio at NFL.com

"White has drawn comparisons to Pittsburgh's Hines Ward and Redskins' WR Antwaan Randle-El. Both were college quarterbacks who went on to great success as receivers in the NFL."

I could find a dozen sources that say the same.

and unless you have been in meetings with the Dolphins you are as clueless as anyone else here on how many ways he will be used. And by the way READ THE SUBJECT LINE BEFORE BEING RUDE! I said 2 WR's and a UTILITY PLAYMAKER! Ginn was drafted for very much the same purpose, pull up all the comment's from Cam about how many ways he will be used!

OK, that being said I only saw one team with a legitimate upper echelon #1 WR draft a WR in the first 4 rounds (New England) , correct me if I missed another case. So that being known I don't think drafting 2 WR's in the first four rounds (in addition to a Utility playmaker) can be just overlooked. I do think these effects Ginn more than anyother player on the team, these were areas he was supposed to contribute in. I don't think they were drafted to replace Ginn no, but the result of drafting them means Ginns role has shrunk or you are suggesting they drafted these guys with no hopes they will be ball players, which we all know is not the case.

These picks will probably actually help Ginn. It takes a lot of pressure off of him, and we'll finally have a big bodied receiver that is worth a damn on this team
