What does having Charlie Anderson back mean for our defense?

Well he came back this week and played a very good game 5 tackles and seemed to be around the ball alot.

So what do you guys think this means for our defense to have him back. Roth was his replacement and did a good job but Anderson is a better OLB than Roth. I think our line backing core got much better and will stop the run even better then we have been. And since he is more skilled in coverage may allow more pressure meaning more sacks and will take pressure off our secondary i dont know for sure.

So thoughts/opinions

I am going to copy and paste my post from another thread about this situation as I think it fits here perfectly, but first let me add 1 point. I think having Anderson back is a blessing the more skilled and athletic bodies we have out their the better. Having Anderson back will only make Roth better.

I was one of those that thought(Roth)he would be cut from the team by the 1st cutday. But he has gone on to prove that he has alot of heart and some skill. If you remember correctly they started the Roth experiment right around the time Anderson went down. And to tell you the truth Roth did pretty good, no you didnt see many sacks, but I saw him break alot of plays up and alot of times it was his push that caused another Dolphin Defender to get the Sack.

Anderson is back so he immediately starts again. No doubt here as he right now is a better OLB then Roth is. But Roth will definately be his backup and see the field alot on pass plays. I hope he keeps improving as Anderson is a decent OLB, but Roth has the potential to be a little better. IMO of course. Maybe by next offseason when he has lost some weight and had a full year of backup duty to finish learning the ins and outs.

Wow, funny, Roth started the game played as are olb just like Porter in the 3-4.Anderson only played when we were in dime or nickel.

Anderson played as a DE in the game not a OLB so he didn't take Roth job, lol to funny

Correction my dear Watson, Anderson saw alot more snaps then Roth. He outplayed Roth and made Roth see the bench. If I had to say who sucked on the Dolphins I would probably single out Roth and ST.

He played more cuzz we were ahead, and not playing in are 3-4.Roth started the game and played as are olb in the 3-4, like i said Anderson played as a DE in the dime and nickel.

I did watch the game, I have watched about two or three times. Roth started, but Anderson played more that is all im saying and it helped us win. Period!
