The media made a big song and dance out of Dan being employed by the team. He has been around camp hanging with ex players and I know he has talked and watched tape with Ryan.

Does he just sit in the corner, make coffee and ring to sell season tickets or does he actually *do* anything or have a role minor in the front office?

Serious question!

Consultation. For example, at practice, gives critiques to either FO or coaches. Look at him as an advisory, so to speak. No decisions, but another eyes and ears for the TEAM

I'm sure even if he doesn't do anything all day, the coaches and players probably try and talk to him. Glad he's there as a resource.

Whatever he wants as long and Lt Einhorn isn't around.

He's Dan Marino.

That is all very well and I zero problem with the team employing but a lot of people saw this as a way of grooming him to one day run the team. I take it there havent been any reports of a role in the front office etc?

what?

i don't remember seeing that anywhere. I think having one of the greatest all time around the facilities even if simply as a mentor to tanne and other players more than pays for itself.

Just his presence alone makes this team better! Just be Dan Marino & be a mentor to these guys (especially Tannehill) & I'm good with that!

Honestly, i hear Dan all the time on Joe Rose . . . He just doesn't come off as a guy who has the horses to "run" a team. Not sure where his ambition is, but just the feeling I get.

If MJ can still run a team, Im sure Dan can give it a go.
