Very curious to see this. I'm having a hard time thinking of many rookies that are competing on the defensive side of the ball the way Vontae Davis has.
There is still plenty of ball to be played but Matthews didn't hurt himself yesterday (2 sacks) - though he looked very blockable for most the game he still had two sacks..., and that's about all the writers care about numbers - not intangibles like game changing take aways?
He doesn't strike "the fear of God" into LTs is all I am writing...
but lets see what happens down the stretch... if Vontae keeps making plays that save us games, or win us games he can get into the mix... especially if we end up making the playoffs
