I always hear that by trading you do not clear the complete number, there is always some that remains, so how does this affect our cap?

Where is Clump when you need him????

I see you are another Brodie Croyle fanatic

I found this:
It's believed that Feeley, who was unavailable for comment, will count between $660,000 and $1.15 million against the Dolphins' 2005 salary cap because of the acceleration of guaranteed money he already received. The Dolphins will receive cap relief in 2006 by not having to pay Feeley his $3.5 million salary.

And:

The Dolphins owe Feeley $1.14 million this year, which counts against the 2005 salary cap. They still owe him $1.8 million in bonus money, with that figure counting against next year's cap. He also had base salaries of $3.5 million in 2006, $4.55 million in '07 and $5.6 million in '08 that will not be paid.

we are avoiding a cap hit next year by trading AJ now..instead we take the hit now..since we have some space...and we probably wont be signing any major free agents during the season....
