What dolphins are out there that you think are going to suprise us this year and why?

I think you will see improvement in a few players:

Roth- with a year under his belt at OLB will be a very pleasant surprise with his aggressive play. He had 5 sacks last year, I'll go out on a limb and say he doubles that to 9-10 this coming year.
London- I think will have a breakout year and will add another threat to the WR's like Bess did last year. I see him as a situational player maybe 3rd down type of guy or part of spread formations. I see him making some key plays this year.
Wilford- With the dissapointing year he had last year , I think he has something to prove this year, I'm still 50/50 on if this will happen but it could be possible.
J Allen- He will be pushed by E green and the draft picks coming in (I expect at least 2 DB's drafted). With the dogs nipping at his heels He will improve his play or he'll be gone.
Cobb- He showed flashes of what he can do last year, I think you will see more of Cobb in the dolphins game plans this year and he will not disapoint!! With a 3 headed monster RB ( Brown, Williams, Cobb) all 3 should stay fresh through out the year.

I think there will be others from last years roster that will improve as well But the ones I posted above will make a huge impact and will be a pleasant surprise

Phillip Merling will be a solid starter, matching or exceeding the production of Vonnie.

I'm not putting money on this, but Jason Allen will start opposite Will Allen and do a good job.

Cameron Wake will not start yet but will be key in and out of the pass rushing rotation.

Chad Henne - The chance that Penny makes it through another season healthy is only 50-50, thus allowing Henne to show off his cannon arm and what he learned from Penny last year.

If we're expecting it, it's hardly a surprise, is it? :)

Very good point.

Brandon London said to expect big things from Eric Walden.

Player I think will emerge: Donald Thomas

Young Player I hope to Blossom: Brandon Lond, Langford and Merling

Player I hope has changed his ways and will be the player we wanted him to be: Wilford. Hes tall and physical and if he becomes the player we need, than all the talk of drafting a WR or bringing one in is squased!

i see donald thomas being healthy and starting - and playing well - all season.

i see jason allen FINALLY living up to the hype.

i see crowder ripping it up.

i see both our sophomore D ends lighting it up for the next decade.

lastly, i see that behemoth soliai making progress and showing signs of taking over for ferguson after next season.

I'll go with somebody nobody is expecting. I'll go with Shawn Murphy. Yeah, I said it. I wouldn't be surprised if he made a strong push for that LG spot, keeping the dream alive for some that were hoping the both Long and Murphy would be second coming of Webb and Sims.

I think Roth is going to develop into a REAL good OLB.

But that's not really surprising.....I think he surprised me last year playing as well as he did. Now i kind of expect him to take it to the next level.

Merling is another guy i can see being pretty solid, but again not a surprise.

So i'm not sure who will really surprise us with their improvement. Perhaps one of our DT's with Holliday out of the way?

in no particular order: London-WR, Grove ,Thomas & Carey on the offensive line. Beck will make a run at the back-up & Pennington will have the best year of his career, Langford, R. Wright, Merling & Soliai will step up big time on the defensive line. a new line up @ linebacker in the 3-4 : Porter, Crowder, Roth & Wake, Jason Allen steps up@ corner or is cut.

disclaimer: I am no pundit & am not privy to inside information. this opinion is posted for entertainment purposes only & is subject to change as the season progresses.:(

we wiil have a horrendous rifting of the roster before the first preseason game.

Chad Henne - The chance that Penny makes it through another season healthy is only 50-50, thus allowing Henne to show off his cannon arm and what he learned from Penny last year.

I love Penn and all but i could see him getting hurt and Henne doing very well. Henne has so much more upside, we will see tho. So mine is def Henne and Allen.
