The part of today's game that gives me the most hope is the way we handled 3rd and short. Last year our OL was so bad and the short yardage game was so pitiful that we just quit trying. We basically said "we know we are not tough enough to get it on the ground so we will try to pass for it". What is the use of trying to get into 3rd and short if you have to pass for it??

But today that was gone. Today we didn't have to overcome that go/gogo, crap that told the DL if we were running the ball. And the results were amazing. Everyone can talk all they want about high octane offenses, but if you can't get a few yards on the ground when you need it to move the chains you won't last long in the playoffs.

As of right now we are in the top 4 rushing teams in the league. With Lazor calling the plays I think we might stay there.

Another interesting tibit. The AFC East has 3 of the top 4 rushing attacks in the NFL. The Jets are 1st, then the seahawks, then the bills and then us. As of now we do have the league's leading rusher.

Next week we had better find some LBs. The bills ran for more yards than we did and gave up about the same. Should be an interesting game. We have to get that sweep out of our minds from last year.

Absolutely. With all of Foles' success under center last year, the Eagles were still a run first team. I also understand when you have McCoy as your back you've gotta get that guy the ball. But, our 200+ rushing vs the Cowboys and our our 191 yds today wasn't a fluke. We will be running the ball. And thanks to Benton, we will be doing it successfully.

It's a lot easier to ask your guys to pick up a conversion running the ball when you've asked them to run before that. Feed the running game and it will reward you in multiple respects. They did that today, and what's more amazing is they turned it on when we were facing a significant deficit.

And your boy shelley smith only got knocked on his ass twice.. No sacks given up.

good points.
I'll add that since we still won against a good team despite turning the ball over 3 times. Thats impressive cause I thought that was gonna do us in. We can't let that happen against the Bills though. Too risky

That the team won, and hung in there despite the shaky QB play early on. Running game was fully charged. Defensive line was stout when it mattered. That was an impressive team win, top to bottom.
