I thought he did a good job as a backup TE. Is he still on our roster?

Lorenzo Diamond was released about two months ago, most likely because of the acquisition of Justin Peele.

EDIT: I just looked it up, we actually released Lorenzo Diamond 20 days before we signed Justin Peele.

He got the ax...

We definately upgraded the TE position behind Randy McMike. I think we got the two other tight ends because our system next year is going to probably have alot of two tight end sets.

we suew did

He was a big disappointment at the end of last season and was cut.

Linehan offensive scheme favors the use of H backs over the use of FBs which is one reason we had so many TEs on the roster.

Mularkey likes to use FBs so I expect that trend will be reversed.

I got a chance to talk to Diamond's Agent (Curtis Stephens) a few weeks ago and he said his best offer right now is from Arizona but he dosen't like Denny Green so he isn't sure where he want's to play yet. The agent told me he told Diamond "hey do you not like the guy so strongly that your willing to leave 115k on the table to play somewhere else?"

I liked Diamond. He was definitely there for the needed catch.

He apparently played much better when he first got here than he did later in the year. It seemed like he went from hands with glue or hands with oil on them. Don't know why, he started dropping passes. he didn't make it very long after that.
