As many holes as we have, and as bad as we have played there is one thing I see that makes be believe we can turn this around with the right person running/coaching things. As I look around the league, there is not a dominant team or one built to be one IMHO. As bad as we are, I still think we can beat any team on any given Sunday. New England is not what they once were and Brady will not be around forever. Seattle is feeling the pains of this new league and new players where great players want to have new contracts immediately, Denver is not the same team without a healthy Manning, Carolina is a very good but not elite team.

This league from top to bottom is separated by very little right now. Over half the league is set to be .500 or less with even more at 9 wins. The key obviously is getting the right people to run and coach this team....that is a huge task! However if we finally get it right, with a decent draft and a good FA we can compete next year and be very good the next (comparatively speaking).

So, as bad as this year has been, it hasn't been pretty across the league. It is easy to say we are far off when looking at us singularly, but when you look at it comparatively; we are not as far off as some may think.

I guess the new year is coming! This year was at bad as it seemed however. If nothing else, who fires the coach a few weeks into the season?

I agree.
When we see our team jettison players that cannot produce here, and then they go on to other teams and are successful.
It is poor organization, scheme, coaching and commitment.
Some of these players we constantly get riled about may actually be OK with a different team/staff.
Changing the coaches and staff - plus a few more additions can turn this around in a hurry.

I think this Sundays game against the Deflatriots will show everyone just how far off we are...

This is the first game in a month or so where I'm actually looking forward to the clown show.

The one thing I will say about Ross is at least he is spending money on players and the stadium. It could be worse!

Concur. It all boils down IMO to a bunch of disconnects in communication.

Such as... 1) scouting & FO, 2) FO & coaching, 3) HC & Co-ords, 4) Co-ords and position coaches, & 5) On field inter game between HC, cords, & players

the key is winning 6 of 8 games in your division and until someone in the FO gets their teenie brain around it we are screwed

We are not built to run and withstand the run in any weather

There is 6 games against Division opponents.
The team plays 12 AFC opponents.
4 NFC

If we can't even win anything in our own Division and conference we will not be anything better than 500. We have not been able to compete consistently against our 3 division rivals. We need some football IQ in here to fix this disaster.

At least someone is hopeful. I'm of the thinking that we will pick another coach no ones ever heard of and we'll be on this vicious cycle of rinsing and repeating through coaches and front office personnel for the rest of my unholy life!

I am certainly not a fan of Ross but really? :bobdole:

I knew he was kidding, but also know what he was saying. Ross has no balls and needs to be a leader and hire a leader, not a committee! Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. We definitely need to win in our division and though we did not win a division game, the Jets and Bills are not great teams and the Pats are coming back down to earth in a hurry. We need someone who is of a physical mindset to be a GM and a Coach or both. Finesse will not win in our division!

I can't blame ross for most of this. He has picked a bad gm several times but that is based on advice of football veterans. That's really all he can do. He has written a check to give us every opportunity to win sparing no expense.
