As many holes as we have, and as bad as we have played there is one thing I see that makes be believe we can turn this around with the right person running/coaching things. As I look around the league, there is not a dominant team or one built to be one IMHO. As bad as we are, I still think we can beat any team on any given Sunday. New England is not what they once were and Brady will not be around forever. Seattle is feeling the pains of this new league and new players where great players want to have new contracts immediately, Denver is not the same team without a healthy Manning, Carolina is a very good but not elite team.
This league from top to bottom is separated by very little right now. Over half the league is set to be .500 or less with even more at 9 wins. The key obviously is getting the right people to run and coach this team....that is a huge task! However if we finally get it right, with a decent draft and a good FA we can compete next year and be very good the next (comparatively speaking).
So, as bad as this year has been, it hasn't been pretty across the league. It is easy to say we are far off when looking at us singularly, but when you look at it comparatively; we are not as far off as some may think.
