What ever happened to us signing a back up quarterback by the end of the day?
 
that was a report i was reading off of one of the threads last week and this weekend
 
dont remember reading that anywhere. it will probably be done this week im thinking.
 
Joey Harrington happened.

As far as I know, Harrington wasnt considered an option when it was rumored Miami would have a backup QB sometime this week.

A new option requiring negotiations with both a player and a team is a pretty good reason for a delay.

Actually, it came from Saban's mouth. In that long interview he did, he said that he would like to have the backup QB by Monday so he could go to the camp. However, since the Harrington deal isn't done yet, that is why we don't have the backup yet.

If I remember correctly, someone on here did project we'd have our QB...didn't read the Saban interview. So we both win :D

BTW....you make one helluva highlight reel!
 
Yeah, Saban stated he was hoping to get it done by Monday... oh well, I'll be happy as long as we end up with Harrington
 
Looks like Joey might sign on Tuesday or get traded however you want to look at it. But its from all I read here, so u all already know
