Did every media outlet along with all fans in Miami and Tampa get a late April's fools? I mean, with so many outlets reporting the trade (Tampa media, Miami media, and other national media outlets), how could the deal not happen? Has anyone heard if it just fell through or if there is something else we are missing, like different number picks? Anyone.

It was a smokescreen. Heh. With so much talk about smokescreens with this FO, they've been pretty straight forward. When they started negotiating with Jake Long, it was a smokescreen. They ended up signing him. They kept saying they won't trade Jason Taylor. They didn't. There's been a lot of talk about Henne. They got him. The only player I didn't expect to be on this team was Merling but that mostly because it seemed like he was gonna be gone.

To be honest what really hurt the JT trade was Jax gettign Harvey AND groves.

Talking about bookend DE's. Jax did a great job by adding these guys not to mention they now have youth for years to come.

I think he means the Taylor to Tampa trade. There were two articles on the Sun-Sentinel.com site proclaiming that we traded Taylor to Tampa for 3 Draft picks. I just checked the site again, and they're both gone now.

Nice journalism.

Yeah... SS swept that article under the rug fast, lol....

It's still possible he goes to TB... maybe including a 2009 pick

I don't think JT is going anywhere. If he goes in the 3rd, it has to be a very early third, or else what's the point? And if he'll only go to a contender, then that doesn't leave too many options in the first half of the third round -- NE excluded (Mia won't trade him to NE). Maybe Phi at 17? But where else would JT accept a trade? There isn't much until very very late in the round. And it makes me sick to think a guy two years removed from D MVP would be moved for a very late 3rd rounder.
I'd hate to admit it, but I think JT screwed the team here by letting his situation become so public.

i think we should trade him to dallas for the rest of their picks it would be very good pick up as far as the picks we would get back

Yeah, I think the talk about a JT trade is officially dead. I'm just guessing we never got what we were asking so we are just going to keep him and use him this year. The only thing that might happen is if we are out of it during the season and another playoff potential team needs a pass-rushing DE, we possibly make the move then and get a lot more than we could have today.

or maybe trade him to gb for their 4th round picks all 3
