I was think what were to happen if Quinn were to skip the Combine and decide to hold a practice of his own. Would this increase his chances of falling. Seems he doesnt know what to do at this point read the article below.

Also it seems like we really want this guy. Check out this quote from the PBP:
The Dolphins remain intrigued in Brady Quinn. Quinn will likely be gone when the Dolphins make their first-round pick at No. 9. But there is talk among NFL scouts that he could fall in the draft because of his lack of success in big games. The Dolphins, who also might consider trading up in the draft, likely know a lot more about Quinn's strengths and weaknesses.

I don't see how missing the Combine would do anything to help his draft stock. Scouts don't put nearly as much emphasis on private workouts than they do on the combine, so a good private workout probably wouldn't affect his stock if he skips on the combine. He is a better football player than he is an athlete, so I wouldn't expect him to truly impress during workouts. His value lies more in his smart decision making than anything else.

If i remember right it effected Lendale White last year when he didn't work at the combine.

How awesome would that be.Lienart didnt get nearly as bad a rep last year and he went 10 overall

i think quinn does the combine simply to shut down some of the critics that have been on him of late.

Heres a little thing to ponder over. Let me know what you all think.

Even though Quinn said he wants to play for the Browns, could it be that he knows the Browns wont draft him. Could it be he knows his stock is falling a little? Miami has a strong interest him. Maybe, just maybe could it be that Quinn knows Miami will be the team to draft him and he likes that idea. So much to the point that if he misses out on the combine to ensure he is available at #9 to Miami, hes willing to do it. Just a thought. Would like to hear any other opinions on it.

I think no way would Quinn want to drop himself even a single spot in the draft because of the money he could potentially lose.

He definitely would lose a bit. In fact, I hope he does skip the Combine so the odds of him dropping increase exponentially.

I think we do know quite a bit on Quinn because Mueller scouted him last year and we're interviewing Shea, who's helping Quinn.

I might have been confusing with my wording, but what I was trying to say was that skipping the comine is NOT a good move when you have something to prove.

He isnt going to skip the combine. He is working out with Dwayne Jarret to get ready for it, why would he skip it unless he's injured?

Yea, exactly. He has too much to lose right now by not going. Although if he didn't go, he'd be more likely to be there at 9.

Not a bad situation at all, that is for us.

Not going to happen. Why? Seems like the only one's who skip the combine do so for one of 3 reasons. 1) they're hurt and need to delay until later; 2) they are ego maniacs and want all the scout attention on them only; or 3) They feel they can get better #'s in their own environment than at the combine. All 3 of these reasons put off scouts a bit and hurt their stock. However, there's always the exception to the rule and thus why guys still keep doing it. I don't see Brady falling into any of these categories (except maybe #3), so I bet he'll attend the combine.

Quinn will probably just do certain drills, but not others (mainly the running drills).

If he were not to compete, it wouldn't kill him. He might fall just outside the top 10, but the top guys on the board all mostly defense an there are a few teams that will trade up for a difference maker.
