I was wondering, what is the punishment from the NFL for the players who violate the NFL drugs policy for 5 times?, this fourth time, they suspended Ricky for a year, what would be the punishment if he violates the NFL drug policy for a 5th time next year (hope not...)

:dolphins:

It would be up to the league. Anything from a year to lifetime. also remember he still needs to apply for reinstatement he may not be allowed to come back at all.

Funny because it was draft day, I thought we could go without 1 Ricky thread. silly me...

Thanks for your reply, yes, I knew that he still have to apply for reinstatement, but I also have another question, is the NFL going to keep making him 10 tests per month randomly?, because I think that thats what brought him down...

Well we lost the services of a great NFL back and it wont dissapear that quick. Hell Ricky has been traded for like two drafts so he probably comes to mind alot on draft day.

Actually we had 1 day without Ricky threads, it was yesterday, the first day of the draft...

You see, you are not THAT silly at all...

What will happen?

People will yet again make excuses for him and claim that it's all the evil NFL's fault that he failed yet another test.

That's what will happen guaranteed.

Well that's what happens after you violate a drug policy 3X prior.

Regardless it's not the tests that brought him down anyway, it was the test results.
Something he DOES have control over if it was important enough to him.

Cant blame them they want Ricky on the team and its not like Ricky is a coke addict or had a DUI. He broke the rules and he has to pay but George W. recovered and became President so anything is possible. Hopefully Ricky gets things straightened out, for hisself. We are just mad because we want that kind of talent on this team. You don't get a runningback with Ricky's talent everyday. I actually feel bad for Ricky and dont have enough details to feel any other way.

We admit that previous 3 times he got positive for marijuana in drug tests was his fault and he admitted, but now that he has gone to therapy to get over this situation, they treated and are treating him like a criminal, making to him 10 randomly drug tests per month, he knows and we all know that he commited mistakes in the past that he had to pay the consequences, but once he did, why are they making him suffer, I mean, he may not be a victim, but why treat him like a criminal?

They never disclosed the substance that he "took", why is that?, do you have a clue?, they can know if someone take a banned substance and it appears in the drug test, but they don't know what is the banned substance that appears on the drug test, so howcome they made the drug tests to see if there are banned substances, but then they can't recognize the substance, it just tests "positive", how does it tests "positive", if theres not known of consumed banned substances?

Do you get my point?

Again, that is what happens when you become a REPEAT offender many times over
He was lucky to be given a 4th chance so however many tests he needed to take he should have IF he wants to continue to be in the NFL.

You reap what you sew.

You're right.

He really didn't test positive for a banned substance.
Then the league investigated further and found no basis for a positive test of a banned substance.

Nonetheless the NFL figured what the hell, we'll just suspend him anyway!

Wake up.
