What happens if this team makes the playoffs this season?

Ireland and Company made a strong move by getting rid of Sparano. They followed that by hiring a promising HC in Philbin. Philbin and Ireland then agreed that Sherman would be a good addition as OC. That...right there....is all good stuff. We don't have a QB yet but it's not all the Dolphins fault. Manning was the fans' dream, but everyone should have known how tough it would be to get him. And, arguably, Flynn isn't worth 1st stringer salary yet....he needs to earn it. We have many young and talented pieces. Some of our young guys from the last two years drafts should show up this year. 1-2 more FA pick ups and a solid draft can be all the difference in the world. Ask Washington what they think of all the big name FA pickups they've thrown money at the last decade.

I really wish it were possible to get the following deal going:

Right now at this moment without knowing what else is in store FA, Draft-wise i would make the following bet. We will improve on our record from last year by at least 3 games, if I'm right and we do all the bashers like JCANE and all the others here are banish from this forum FOREVER. If I'm wrong i would gladly leave and never enter or post on the board again

Its not that hard to understand, we gave away our best player and haven't improved anywhere, and we had a lot of areas that needed to be improved on.

And why stop at just making the playoffs, why not win the superbowl? Oh, I know, because even the biggest homers know we don't have a snowballs chance in hell of even sniffing the superbowl.

Ok, and what happens when JCane is right...AGAIN...for like the hundred billionth time and all of you guys who continue to call me a BASHER disappear and never say, "You know what, JCane, you were right, again. I don't know how you're so good at predicting this stuff, but your football acumen is far greater than my own."

2 wins would be lucky, sadly we'll win 6-8.

I'm with you man. This place has become so ridiculous it's insane. I can't wait for the Phins to win a few games and shut up some of the morons that seem to dominate the boards these days. Even if the Phins won the superbowl there would be a contingent on here who would still bash Ross/Ireland and say the team won despite them.
 
I think we will have a better recrod then last year. Predict 8 or 9 wins depending on how well defense plays and whether we can improve the pass rush.
 
IF we make the playoffs, I see it playing out a lot like the 08 season. a nice false hope inspring 11-5 season with a dash of first round ass whooping in the playoffs.

than 3 losing season to follow. IMO, we aren't sniffing the playoffs. we'll be lucky to be 3rd in the AFC

I just don't see how we are going to be able to pass or run the ball. We have no one to keep the safeties honest and I really doubt Reggie Bush can run through 8 and 9 man fronts. If Philbin gets us to 6 wins it may be the finest coaching job since Shula.
 
On the bright side, Philbin's got low expectations and if we have a respectable season he will be a hero rather than a goat. Guy deserves at least 2 years.
 
If we make the playoffs this year I'll ride my unicorn to Narnia to harvest my money tree.
