What has to happen for Ronnie to sit the season out?

I was wondering what the date is, if there is one, for draft pics to be signed. Is it just opening day? I really wish that Ronnie didn't pick this rookie agent...:what:

no specific day. a rookie can be signed at any time up to the draft for the next season. I actually think it's one week before the next draft that is the cutoff.

As for this agent.....it might turn out to be the best thing for the team. Because he's a newer agent we just might be able to pressure him into taking the below market contract that the team is shoving down their throats.

Of couse it could work in reverse also....because he's newer he might feel that he can make a name for himself by simply sticking to his guns and get a fair deal....which in turn means that he'll have more 1st tier clients that want him for their agent.

It could go either way...I'm thinking the 1st one I mentioned might be the way it turns out but one thing I want to be careful of is that no matter HOW Brown gets signed, I want to make sure he's happy. If he's not....we could have a Javon Walker case on our hands...of course, restrucuring a RB contract might not be an issue since no matter what he signs for this year he will automatically be close to, if not the, highest paid back in the NFL...and all before he plays in a game. How odd is that?

I'm pretty sure Saban won't balk and give Ronnie exactly what Satan France is asking for. The only way that Brown will be signed is if some type of incentive-laden and/or guaranteed $ laden dialogue is put in the contract.

Call it cynicism, call it pessimism but I'm just not happy with the situationism....and I have a genuine dislike for Todd France whether Ronnie is signed or not...he's just a greasy menace!

What can I say, I am a night owl. If you look, during the week days I won't be online between basicly now(around 2:00am) until around 6:00pm. I just happen to be on during the rush hour of fin fans.

Sitting the season out, then re-entering the draft would be the biggest blunder by an agent in history. This was not a top talent laden draft.
If RB were to enter the draft next year, there is no guarantee he would even be taken in the top 5. He would risk losing a lot of money and his agent's reputation would be permanently damaged.
With RW and Gordon in camp, RB doesn't have a lot of leverage. Phins don't absolutely need him right now.He should be smart and take the 19mill.
