What I got out of the MNF game

First off that was a great win for our boys, showed me they are playing with intensity and playing like they have a chip on their shoulders. Maybe its just me, and this is NOT a knock on Pennington but does the offense look like they aren't hanging their heads anymore? They are going out and punching people in the mouth, not saying they didn't before.. It just 'feels' like they are clicking on all cylinders now. Henne is playing smart so far, I love what I see so far and boy does he have an arm. That pass to Ginn was a thing of beauty. Ronnie and Ricky are tearing it up, and Im glad to see that injury to Ricky isn't serious. I was worried when I seen him hobble off the field. Lost a playmaker in Cobbs, but we signed a back that has some potential.

Our defense is beastly against the run. Braylon ate us up and this is his first week as a jet. Our pass D is still shaky, I think we really need a safety next year badly. Our corners are set IMO. Davis and Smith are looking good so far. They are making some mistakes but nothing that can't be corrected. Wilson needs to be cut asap, he was the worst FA pickup besides Wilford last year. Hes late on coverage and misses tackles. Not a good combo. I bet Jason Allen would be better than him back there at safety.

If we keep playing strong like this though and cut down on the mistakes on defense I think we have a championship team. And to all the Jets fans out there whos been talking smack including Rex Ryan, you guys lost. We won and the last time I remember, you might be leading the division NOW but we are still division champs until proven otherwise. The season is just begun and the road to the AFCE is through MIAMI!!!

Our offense has confidence in Henne. They see a young qb with potentil who has a brain and will learn. They seem to be willing to deal with inevitable mistakes. They also know we have a shot at a deep passing game where we did not with Penny. After MNF I would be confident too in my qb.

As far as safetys could not agree any more. I am over both Wilson and Allen. We blew it on Wilson. Not much we can do at this point. Move on and draft a good one in April.

Henne showed up in only his second game and played like a veteran against a great pass defense. Revis and Rhodes are no joke back there. I love the way the team is looking.. Wilson needs to be benched and let someone else prove what they can do. Our oline was doing a nice job of protection and run blocking. You can see they are 'gellin ha.. And ill stick my neck out there and say we DON'T need a number 1 reciever. Our offense is fine with what we got. Id rather have 5 guys who can catch and do different things than just one that you have to rely on.

I really think we have to give wilson more time. Hes got all the physical attributes to be a good free safety back there, I think he just needs time to gel with the secondary and I think thats why he hasnt been benched yet.
