He said that C. Pennington has the highest completion percentage in NFL history. ??? I know it's through this point in his career and he has several years left. Sorry, I'm sure someone posted this fact and I must have missed it, but that's pretty wild. I know he was accurate and smart, but I never knew that. Pretty cool!!!

He also set a record a few years ago for most consecutive red zone pass attempts without and INT in NFL history.

If Miami's OL can give him halfway decent protection...he'll be a big improvement over what Miami had last year.............

Yep, he's better then 1/2 the Qb's in the NFL IMHO.I also think he takes us to year two "as far rebuilding" with him being here.

In my mind we go from a 5 to 6 win team to a 7,8,9, win team.WOOT

Pennington will help your team this season,no doubt. He is a very good field general and doesn't make a lot of stupid mistakes. He also is a great person who you can't help but root for when he steps on the field.

That being said I find I can't root for him this weekend.............:d-day:

yeah right i absolutely hated him pennington before, but i welcomed him to the phins with open arms

Pennington is a nice QB and that's it. We've all seen him over the years and all I will say about him is he's better than Fiedler, Lucas, Lemon, Beck or Frerotte. He's here to keep the team afloat until Chad Henne(who will be Miami's best QB in 8 yrs) is ready.

Yea he has a high completion percentage because he throws a bunch of short passes.

He seems to have won a lot of games for you guys regardless, and sometimes without any running game or defense to speak of got you guys to playoffs.

Funny how Jets fans would be on here defending him for the same reasons in the past that they now criticize him for.

There are a lot of things that go into his record. He doesn't throw long often, because of his physical limitations and because it isn't his style. He does throw long when he has someone open, unlike say Favre who puts his receiver to work.

The Jets have also been a team that have been a more conservative team than most. This helps.

It also helps that he is accurate and has a good head on his shoulders.

5 yard passes all day baby.....then we kill them with Ricky and Ronnie.

yeah,we've definitely had a rotating door at QB since Marino retired...but as far as Pennington's concerned...if my memory serves me right,he's been the only QB the Jets have had who has consistently beaten us,so i'm glad we have him now myself.
