When SD thought Brees wasn't their answer as a #1 rd pick, they went ahead and drafting ANOTHER #1 rd high draft pick QB til' they got their Franchise QB. If it were Miami, they would be SO SCARED to make that mistake again they would play it safe adn go O line or trade out. This organization since Marino has left has been full of pansies and *******. He was the last TOUGH guy, REAL TOUGH guy that BACKED IT UP. Sparano PREACHES toughness but never WALKS it. Hes that lil' ***** that has abig mouth but is a real ***** when you confront him 1 on 1. If he had ANY balls he would do whats right, DROP THE OC that everyone in the WORLD is clowning on. He would go for 1st downs and TD not FG and play it safe for a FG.

As Pacino said in Scarface, all I have is my word and my balls. Sparano has neither. No balls and no words just a FRONT. For the amount of Will Power he has to lose 65 lbs by exercising he lacks that Will Power to do anything to WIN games. Usually someone with that much Will Power isn't somone that plays things safe.

I still think it's too early to judge Henne, especially with Henning here. I really believe Henne has the tools to be a franchise QB. He needs a real coaching staff, especially one who can actually tell whether we are a running or a passing team. Sparano put all the blame on Henne, but it is his fault.

3 things I dont' see in Henne that are EXTREMELY important in a QB, leadership/command (like how he became a ***** when Fasano ripped him an ******* while Fasano was wrong might I add), anticipation which is the most important I think, and creativity when things don't fall within the "plan of 2 sec passing."

I think Henne is a leader, has pretty good anticipation, and can find open players. My main problem with him is that he follows Henning's stupid plays and never audibles. He's also afraid to take shots down field fearing a pick. He throws picks anyways, might as well throw it up.

You wouldn't be dumping Henne, just ensuring the future of the team. Henne can battle it out with Luck and still have a chance to prove he's a legit NFL QB. By do that we now would have real depth and potential trade bait, a win win!

The Chargers traded their 2001 #1 overall to the Falcons (in a swap), who selected Michael Vick.

They chose LaDainian Tomlinson in the first round (Atlanta's first rounder received in the swap) and Drew Brees in the second round (San Diego's own pick).

Nevertheless, it is quite astounding how the Chargers have been involved in deals regarding the following players:

Michael Vick
Drew Brees
Philip Rivers
Eli Manning

and

LaDainian Tomlinson
