- when we pound the ball, we win, i said it last week and i'll say it again
we have a solid top level not only rookie but overall running back in Ronnie Brown, and when ricky gets hot this running game is off the charts.

- our defensive front is solid and very underrated, carter holliday and traylor have been great pickups

- Gus is NOT the QB we want right now, if the running game is this solid i feel like sage with his deep play ability would be better suited, I feel like randy is not involved enough in this offense and I am very worried about the play at QB right now, New Orleans is a bad team

- best pickup of all, NICK SABAN, the change in attitude this year has been tremendous, no panic button the past few weeks, and i'm loving his nonchalant confidence with this team

I agree but we did not fall behind in this game. The rushing game did not have to be put away because of that.

you guys fail to realize that we won because the saints suck and we are a better team. not because of this or that, every game has a different situation. sure, we can have a philosphy as a team, but ask any team in the league, a team always has to adjust to what they are given.

we won because we are better, and thats the bottom line.

Being better doesn't guarantee you a win. NOt in the NFL.

That's not what people were saying before the game. Some people can't give the Phins any credit. Many people had picked the Saints to win this game and the Saints have played a lot of teams tough.
If Gus is a halfway decent QB this game is over before halftime.

Ok, so we beat the Denver Broncos on the first game of the season, does that make us better than the Broncos? The Broncos just lit up the Eagles, the Eagles beat the Chiefs, we got blown out by the Chiefs. Make any sense according to your view? We beat the Panthers, the Panthers beat the Patriots. We got beat by the Jets, the Jets are getting beat by everyone. I don't think your ideology is correct. We beat the Saints because we outplayed them just like we outplayed the Broncos and the Broncos outplayed the Eagles. Just like we outplayed the Panthers and the Panthers outplayed the Patriots. The same way the Eagles outplayed the Chiefs and the Chiefs outplayed us.

Our weaknesses in the secondary will make it very often difficult to continue "pounding it" if we fall behind on the scoreboard, this will be a problem against the better passing teams.

Yep, and we really still could have lost that game yesterday, to many mistakes and Gus is still missing open people to often.

But he is still not making the mistakes we had last year at QB

Then again, we probably would have had about 3 more TDs if we had a QB that could hit an open receiver.

yes...infins...you're 100% correct. I mean if we a qb that was more accurate...the game would have been out of reach for the Saints before the 4th quarter.

I say...why not try Sage...why not?

Go Fins!!!

We have to keep running the ball, because we don't have a passing game. At least with a running game you eat up the clock, keep the ball out of opponents hands, and our defense doesn't get warn out. We were ahead, a solid running performance, and still Gus couldn't hit wide open receivers for a least 2 TD's. What are we going to do when we are behind, no running game and have to go to the air:confused:

You forgot that the Saints beat the Bills, so you know what that means.

Yes, but that's three less INT's for TDs compared to last year.
