Would that have any significance to us? Sorry for asking a question that's probably been answered already...

Unfortunately we are out of the playoffs... doesn't matter if every team in the league screw up and they all tie.

I know I've read that at least a dozen times, since a win by either one eliminates us due to tie breaker rules. But I've never heard anyone address what a tie would mean to us since that is the same as a loss for both teams. Not that someone didn't address it. I just never saw it.

Mmmmm. Another great post Sethworld. Honest I read it! :sidelol:

cheifs would finnish behind us, but i beleive the chargers would then (if they lost their lost game) end with a 9-6-1 record, beating our best potential of 9-7, nice thinking though

Good post I was wondering the same thing.... Well I guess we have next year to look forward too. And also these next 2 games are big.... We need Ronnie to get his 1,000 yrds and Win out!!!:dolphins: Next year the AFC EAST is all ours!!

We're done and that's the way it is. The AFC is a beast this year so not making it with a 9-7 record (granted we win are last 2 which is very possible considering I think where better then the Titans and the Patriots will be resting starters in the last game) doesn't bother me to much. It bothered me when we were 10-6 3 years ago and didn't make it but right now it doesn't. I think there's a bright future for this team and I see us as a playoff team next year, Super Bowl contender the year after that!

It is not the same as a loss. If they were to tie it means they would have fewer losses than us even with the same number of wins, giving them a better percentage. It would be as if they were 9-6 and we were 9-7 which means that the 9-6 gets in by virtue of not having lost as much as the 9-7 team.

Ok, I know if they tie we are out. But what if all the other teams forget to show up for the playoffs? Would we then be able to play in them?

Ah, hadn't thought of it like that but what you and FinsAreLife have said cleared it up for me. Thanks.

I'm extremely happy with the season all things considered. The future is definitely bright. :) And playoffs or not, a win against the Patsies in the last game will make my year.
