what if luck does not declare next year then what?

I don't understand why a player would even do that. Why would thay not embrace the challenge of turning a team around? Chances are the best players get chosen by the worst teams in any leagues draft.

Who was the better QB from the 2004 class? Eli or Rivers (#3)? Eli or Rapelisberger (#11)?

Who was the better QB from the 2005 class? Alex Smith or Aaron Rodgers (#24)?

What screams to me is that three of the five QBs mentioned have SB rings, the Rapist has two and has been there three times! Additionally, the other two are on currently winning teams and Rivers has been in the playoffs most every year he has been in the league. Point being, there is something to be said about getting your franchise QB and winning. I know this is stating the obvious but I am going to go postal if we don't at least TRY to nail down a franchise QB in the first round of this draft. Between politics and football, I am aging at about 10X the normal rate!

he still has 1 yr of eligibility if he didnt want to declare or didnt want to be drafted by the team with the #1 pick remember eli then what not that i think he would act like that but he could stay in college if he so wanted too then what do we do??????

Does ANYBODY here pay attention to ANYTHING????? He stayed this year to finish his degree which will happen this fall, he will have no reason to play next year LOL....

So go 6-24 in two years to get a guy that might not pan out. Sign me up!
<br>6-24 in 2 years to draft the most sure draft prospect.... ever. to have a dynasty for the next 10-15 years, Sign me up... or would you just be happy with mediocrity 8 wins every year like we have been the past decade +.

my point exactlly nothing is for sure big ben has been better than eli and rodgers i dont have to even comment on that nobody thought rodgers was going to be what he is just seems like the for sure thing is not exactlly so for sure!!!!!

Big Ben is not better than Rodgers at all! Ben always had a amazing Def, Coach and weapons. Rodgers is in the top 2 QB in the NFL in my opinion. Brady being the other one.

You guys are ridiculous. Luck is great, he's going to be a successful QB no doubt in my mind. But Jones and Barkley are going to be good too, they're not as polished but with the right coaching staff they too have potential to be Top QB's in this league. First we have to get rid of this coaching staff and have a real QB/offensive guru develop them like they should. I think we've been missing an offensive guru in a while. I sure as heck miss Linehan and look at him now in the Lions with Stafford..

Why would he pull a Eli Manning or John Elway on the Dolphins, if so? Dolphins got two good offensive linemen, Jake Long and Pouncey, possibly a new head coach and plus it's South Florida where he's going to be a starting QB then just be a backup QB under P. Manning for a year or two or possibly 3 years...

OR....we can continue going 7-9 for the next 10 years taking everyones leftovers, with no hope of ever getting better. Yeah that sounds like a better option.

Luck returned to Stanford for his senior undergraduate year, which is this current year.

Can he use his last year of eligibility if he graduates? The NCAA has a bunch of eligibility rules about "academic progress" which may factor in here. I believe that athletes get 4 years of eligibility over 5 academic years at the Div I level. I think they may not allow 4 years of eligibility over 6 years to prevent schools from deliberately holding on to some top players.

This is correct. Luck cannot play in college next year because he will graduate this year. End of thread.

You missed the point, which is that the world won't end if the Dolphins don't get Luck. In fact, they might even be better off.

Not correct, he still has 1 year of NCAA eligibility left and can still take classes at Stanford next ala Matt Leinart his last year.
