What if RG3 says no to Redskins?

So you are saying RG3 knew they were going to get hit as hard as they were hit today?

I seriously doubt he knew anything about that. I'd be shocked if we don't start to hear he is thinking about not reporting to the Skins after the Manning situation is resolved.

The Redskins aren't in bad shape. They got stripped of 36 million in cap space over 2 years, but they were actually in very good cap shape after dumping during the uncapped year. It was still worth it to do what they did. It's possible you're right and that RG3 will get really miffed about what happened, but I don't know, the guy just seems like too much of a class act to pull that stuff. I get the impression that if a team is willing to give up three freaking number ones for the right to draft him, he is going to go to that team and play his ass off for them.

RG3 isn't that type of guy. He will go wherever drafted. Plus, Washington is a franchise with a good tradition and an owner who pays for players. It's not like it's a small market team with a history of losing.

not sure i understand what ur saying.

Nobody is elevating anyone. Im saying, what if RG3 says no to REdskins based on this huge news! Its been done before. Eli manning has a fine character. So does John Elway.

They have fine character but they didn't report - I know RG3 will likley report - hey this isn't draft doging - this is just the truth - Eli and John did not report others did - I can't credit them as though they reported is all - no biggee!

I agree he is very classy, but I don't think him saying he doesn't want to report to a doomed franchise is a non-classy move.

I love the Dolphins and I really hate to say this, but I think any of the teams that would be desperate for RG3 (and we're one of them) could certainly be considered a 'doomed' franchise.
