How well do you think Ronnie will do being the one and only feature back and how do you think it will affect our running game as a whole? I believe without Ricky Ronnie will produce however may get worn down near the end of the season which worries me if we'r to make a playoff run so if the appeal is settled and Ricky is suspended for a year what do you think about drafting a running back with our 3rd round pick?

if ricky is suspended for a year ,ronnie will be a pro bowler the year ricky is suspended.

You're not at all concerned about him wearing down, he looked tired at times last season before ricky came off his suspension

There's no need to draft a running back this year. That is why Minor and Morris was re-signed. Plus we have Kay Jay Harris who should be accustomed to the NFL by now after spending last year on the practice squad. Ronnie should be with the team at the start of training camp so he should be in better shape this year than he was last year.

I'm a West Virginia Alum and I have to say I love Kay-Jay people don't realize how good he is.

Lets hope it doesn't happen. Ricky is very valuable to the team. But if we did loose him, worst case I think we may rely on the pass a little more. Ronnie will do ok, but I am worried he would wear down torwards the end of the season.

Well last year, being his rookie season, it was anticipated that he'd be a little tired, especially with carrying the load the first 6 games. It was good that we were able to rest him with RW...so, no he'll have a year under him and the rigors and grind of a full season will not be an issue. He'll have learned how to keep his body from getting tired thru offseason conditioning. He won't hit the rookie wall a second year...

As to missing RW, while I think not having him can't be as good for RB and the Fins as having him, I don't think the season is in jeopardy at all. S. Morris and KJ Harris will have the fill-in work to keep Brown going.

I still suspect that IF he gets off on the suspension, a draft day or just before draft day trade isn't out of the question. I think if the Colts want to stay somewhere near where they are offensively, they have to be interested...I also believe Shanahan would still be interested as well.

I don't think Saban would trade Ricky to the Colts or the Broncos. They are already contenders and that would bolster their running games too much. If Saban was to trade Ricky I think it would have to be a Detriot or someone like that. I reallly don't think Saban will trade him because Ronnie never carried the load in college and got injured the last two games splitting carries last year. Saban won't risk a season on a unproven back IMO.

Yeah, if Ricky wins his appeal I think he stays a Dolphin. He is far too valuable to this team and there is no way any team would give a fair trade for what the guy is worth.

If Ricky does get suspended, we should work on him to extend his contract at that bargain basement price...no signing bonus.

If Ricky is suspended so be it. Aslong as the O-Line is decent Ronnie will be fine and it is not like he will have to carry it 25 times a game with Culpepper throing the ball. If all goes according to play our passing game should keep defenses honest for the first time since Dan was back taking snaps. I am sure even though they resigned Morris that after the june first cuts if there is a decent RB released Miami might pick him up at a low rate contract as insurance.

Bingo! Brown won`t stand up to a full seasons worth of punishment, he`s better suited splitting time, and Minor, Morris and Harris aren`t going to cut it in place of RW. If Ricky gets suspended, this team just took a major hit.

Brown will be fine. Splitting time kept him from proving the Doubter the Dolfan wrong.

Splitting time still didn`t prevent him from breaking down at the end of last year, did it? I like Ronnie, just think he`s a more productive back if he doesn`t have to shoulder the load all by himself.
