What if????? Salary cap alternative

I have been toying with this idea for sometime now and want to hear some others input and ideas.

What if the nfl set up its money on a game by game basis and a team won its money, and I toy with the loser getting nothing as well. Now we would have a performance based salary, if you win you get paid period. A players contract would be negotiated as a percentage of the teams purse rather then a set salary.

It's a far fetched idea, but I wonder if the game would change for the better or the worse?

:confused: I can't imagine the cluster**** that would create. Teams with 1-4 wins would come away with no cash and have no funds to rebuild their teams? And playoff teams would cash out and have the money to keep their teams competative?
 
why would any free agent go to a team like the texans if they probubly wont be paid for 14 games?

you would see a winning team collect all the best players and keep them. they wouldnt want to leave because they know that if they leave they will probubly not get paid nearly as much if at all.

There'd be a whole lot of poor people in Detroit, NY, Arizona, Oakland.... :lol:
 
How many times this year alone have you seen teams play thier ***** off only to lose on a last second field goal?

Do you really want to tell a guy who ...say......I don't know...

RUPTURED HIS FREAKING SLEEN, THEN CAME BACK AND LEAD HIS TEAM BACK FROM 17 POINTS DOWN ONLY TO LOSE TO A FG WITH 3 TICKS LEFT,

"nice game Chris. Sorry you aren't getting paid for that one. I know you're bleeding out right now and we'd really like to save your life, but you cant afford the Hospital stay. My condolences to you and your new born baby."

man you guys are giving me a complex the way you beat up on me, I did not say not pay the loser, I said toyinging with idea of that. I do see your points about the better teams getting better and the worse teams getting worse and something would need to be incorporated into this system to safeguard that. I however respectfully disagree that its just plain a horrible idea. Its not a bad idea it just needs more thought put into it. I really like the philoshy of a team performance based salary.

ty all for your input, even though it was an *** chewing party on my idea.
