What would you guys be saying if we were in the Steelers situation.

Your backup QB got your teams only win.
Your young stud at QB is coming back from two offseason injuries/surgerys and has played like a BIG LOSER throwing 0 tds and 5 ints.

What would your reaction be?

Would you be lobbying for a former Lions QB who has had nothing but failure in his past? (Joey harrington/Charlie batch)

Or would you stick with the guy that has had success in the past but obviously needs some time to get back into his groove? (Daunte Culpepper/Big Ben)

I choose option #2. Daunte is our man, just like Big Ben is the Steelers man.

Next person I hear say otherwise will get a visit from Manny Wright and his gang of crybaby thugs.

good take on the situation. don't send manny my way, I'm outta tissues cuz of the Ladies Lounge!

If he's not healthy and costing your team wins don't play them. Doesn't matter who the hell they are. If your a true dolphan than you know how important one or two wins are to get into the playoffs.

I love it when I hear garbage like this. "If youre a true Dolphan"

Could someone please tell me what that means?

Because IMO, you either like the Dolphins and want them to win; or you dont and you want them to lose (or dont care). I dont know why anyone would go around pretending they are fans of a team and they secretly want them to lose.

re:

Roethlisberger has had more than one good season. Roethlisberger has a ring. Rothlisberger was nearly killed in an accident, and then had emergency surgery right before the season.

Culpepper has had one good season. Culpepper does not have a ring. Culpepper was injured almost a year ago.

Joey Harrington hasn't been able to play a regular season game with his team. Batch did, won it, and knew he was his team's back-up, and resumed that role. It is not he and Big Ben's first year with the team, which is the situation here. With Harrington, the only thing saying he's the back-up is the Depth Chart. He won't get a chance, and it really makes me wonder why the Dolphins even got him. Wasn't it as an insurance policy for Culpepper (who thus far, is a comperable to a 6-10, off-suit in Poker). Numbers, schmubers...the only one that matters is 1-3. He deserves to sit, and Dolfans deserve to see if they've got a winning hand on the bench, or something not even as good as Culpepper. It's time.

That's not a good comparism. Daunte participated in all of training camp, minicamp, and all preseason games.

Something Ben Roethlisberger hasn't done this season due to the motorcycle accident, then had emergency surgery just days before the season opener.

I know Daunte went through a severe injury, but he was healthy enough to practice with the Dolphins, while Ben was not healthy to participate with his own team.

OH MY GOD!

Are you guys that stubborn?

No! Its not the EXACT same situation. But its similar. They both are coming back from injuries and are playing below the level that they are expected.

The point that I'm trying to make is that we should give Daunte a frickin break. I know that all of you want very badly for Daunte to be a great QB for us. So, how do you think it helps his condifence to see his own fans booing him and asking for his head on a stick after 2, 3, and 4 games? The NFL is not a magical fairyland where you can snap your fingers and make awesome things happen the way you like them. It is also obvious that Daunte is not the only problem in Miami. Benching Daunte in favor of a QB who has never had a winning season and hasn't played an NFL snap in 10 months and is in a completely new system would be better?

GIVE ME A BREAK!

if your a true dolfan you wouldnt spell it dolphan. jk it is a very good point. you stick with daunte, he is the future.

With this awful offensive line, Big Ben would fair no better.

If I were a Steelers fan, I would want Big Ben to sit down until he healed up, same as I want for Culpepper.

I think Harrington would have thrown more than 2 TD passes against our last four opponents.

I also think he would have had more than 3 turnovers as well. Somewhere along the lines of 10-15.
