Just a ideal i thought of. If have al lthat money i believe it to be 44 million we could use that and address the Offensive Line. You could sign both Faneca and Adams then have either the option resigning Hadnot or drafting a young guard in the late 2nd or early round. Eric Young of Tennessee or Robert Felton of Arkansas is not a bad option there. In the end you could have a lineup like this

LT : Adams
G : Faneca
C : Satelle
G : Draft pick Young or Felton
RT : Carey

just look at that..you have a few pro bowlers there and a improving Carey and Satelle who was on the all rookie team for the center pos.....Sure there r a lot of tackles that r great in this tears draft but with Adams you could get immediate results and leadership. Worst case scenario you could draft a tackle in the 6th round to mold and take over for Adams in 3 years. So what do ya think ?

Ronnie Brown would be running Wild behind that line he would probly be one of the best backs in the league if not the best or we could even draft the OG Brandon Albert if he is there at pick 32 that would be an awsome line

I would rather have Jake Long and Faneca than Flozell and Faneca

Ronnie would be a happy man.

Also, when is Felton supposed to go in the draft? I've seen mocks where he's in the 4th round. Is that about right or no?

Well, if we sign Flozell Adams. The team will probably pass on Jake Long and take an OT later on in the Draft to develop behind Adams. With Faneca, the team will probably draft a young OG late in the Draft to develop behind him as well. If we did get them both, it would certainly make the O-Line slightly less of a priority on the first day of the Draft.

some have him in the early 3rd to early 4th..that seems about right

thats the ideal i was going for as well. If the phins address this now we could spend about 85 % of our picks towards the defense...as much as i would love to have a player like Assante Samuel here i says no thanks, spend that money elsewhere.

I think Adams would fill a critical need for us, we need to evaluate the play at the QB, and a good left takle is crutial. Adams could give us 4 good years and buy us time to draft a rel LT.

If they don't move Carey to OG I will be shocked. The only way I see Carey staying at L or R tackle is if he absolutely refuses to move.

He has shown himself so-so at best at Tackle, and a lot of voices have said all along he would be an all-pro Gaurd.

If Carey is given a lucrative early contract extension, I could see him willing to move to Gaurd.

Try this on for SIZE:

LT----Jake Long
LG----Vernon Carey
C-----Satele
RG----Heath Benedict
RT----Flozelle Adams

Now, we don't even need Ronnie or Ricky. We could trade them both for defenders.
Chattman,Booker, Mauia, and a rook could run through these holes. Providing of course that there be a complete turnover in the TE department. All these wussies need to go.

Sorry, when it comes to the Dolphin TE's, @#$%^&#$%^&*()_!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exactly. I think we will go with someone we KNOW can work until a LT is fit to our likings wehther its already being groomed or a rookie stepping in. BP will go with ppl he can TRUST on the line esp at LT.

1st of all: do you really think that Carey could REFUSE a switch with Parcells?
2nd and most important: where do you get your knowledge from that carey is not a great tackle, but only a guard? from all what I read in the past everyone liked his play as RT. He was not so-so, he was seen as more than solid.

And although I like the idea of signing both guys, realistically with that below average crop of free agents the Fins could be happy if they manage to sign ate least one of the guys. The majority of teams have more money than players to spend on, 31 (or at least 28 depending on your view) teams are nearer to the playoffs than the Fins (which is important for free agents, who wants to play for a loser team?) and there are only 5-10 players of the caliber of Adams and Faneca.

Faneca is after a contract that will pay him more than Steve Hutchinson. Philly are apparently interested but at $50 million plus, I would hope very much that Miami is nowhere near this deal.

I like the idea of jake long and alan faneca alot better.

fanneca could be to long, what steinbach is to joe thomas.

At any rate, if faneca has a price tag that booms referring to, than I would sadly have to pass on him.

how about we not sign either and say we did. both too old. both too much money. these players will not help us win a superbowl.

Umm Carey is near pro bowl level as a right tackle and put up the same numbers as the pro bowl tackles did last year.

Why would we trade Ronnie when you have 3 guys on the line that are playing different positions then they did last year (if you count Long not being the NFL)
