We go on a run and Matt Moore has a great season. Our defense steps up and starts making plays, but we dont make it in the playoffs and we lose out in the Suck for Luck sweepstakes? Then what? Do we still draft a QB in the first round, or do we just go for the best player availiable? Do we go after a new QB in free agency, or do we keep Moore as the starter? Thoughts?

well it depends. if our run is good enough to take us somehow out of top 10, well then i dont believe you just take a qb in the first round just for the sake of saying you took one in the first round, especially if that qb is more of a 2nd-3rd round type guy.

if we did somehow go on a run, which seems highly unlikely the way we are playing, and fall out of the top qbs, i guess we try to move up, obviously it wouldn't be enough to get a guy like luck, but to draft a barkley or jones, although im not as high on them as most people are.

I Think we should take Landry Jones over Barkley if he is still availiable, but if he isn't I really like the kid Blackmon from Oklahoma St...The dude is a monster at wide-out.

still would trade my right nut for luck. do what it takes to get luck in a fins uni

It would all depend on who is available and who is in charge of the Dolphins.
If Barkley or Jones are available then you have to strongly consider getting one of them.
If they are both off the board then...
After what has happened so far you couldn't argue with adding one of the elite MLBS. Burnett looks like a mistake and Dansby is fading quickly.
Alshon Jeffrey may drop because he is not getting any help with Qb play. Getting him could allow us to part ways with the perpetual headache that is BMarshall.

It depends on a lot of factors as most people are saying.

If Matt Moore plays lights out and we get outside of the top 10 than I doubt we take a QB unless Barkley or Jones falls to our spot.

We have a lot of needs. MLB,FS,RT come to mind. There are a lot of factors tht have yet to play out to make an accurate guess on what we would do.

Don't worry boys, this is the Dolphins they will find a way to miss out on Luck. It isn't a question of if, it is a question of how.

With that said the new coach will still take a qb

The next regime might look to deal BM to move up if needed. Unfortunately...

I would like to answer your question with this response.

Indianapolis Colts!

Regardless of the scenario, I don't think you pass on the consensus #1 pick and best prospect since Peyton Manning. This is a Ricky Williams situation. Trade whatever it takes to get into that top spot.

Do we need a some better talent and depth at other positions? Sure we do, but that is secondary to a franchise QB. A can't miss prospect at QB comes along once in a generation. As for Moore, if he plays lights out, then we can possibly dangle him for a mid-round pick.
