What if...?

Maybe if they play with tempo we can put points up like that...but I'm not holding my breath that we will play fast...although we've been waiting for it for 3 damn years now

We should be avoiding the passing game not because of their vaunted pass defense (I believe KC was ranked 32 before getting to play us, New England is ranked 1 right now), but because our QB can't pass the ball good. And if you have to adjust your game plan for your own crappy QB play, in a passing league, you're already ****ed.

If Oakland is smart they'll put everything they have into stopping the run. We're going to do the same thing, we're going to force the rookie to beat us, and if he manages to take what we give him and shreds our bare bones passing defense all you can do is give him kudos. It doesn't mean it was a bad plan by us. If Tannehill still won't allow us to take advantage of soft passing defenses going into his 35th start then our biggest mistake was not playing a different QB.

I can't imagine why the Raiders wouldn't aggressively scheme against the run and leave a safety to shadow Wallace. Everyone else they'll take their chances on and force Tanny to throw to the sidelines 90% of the time.

The raiders suck, so I would call it a fluke. Here is a better question: what if Tannehill lights it up the next 4 games and we start 5-2?

An even better question? Should the phins win tomorrow; What will it say about the patriots who got squashed by Miami & barely beat the raiduhs?

That's exactly how I'd draw it up, defensively.

Make Hartline/Clay/Gibson/Landry beat you.

Teams that do that against the Phins this year are gonna win more than half the time. Stone cold truth, cause all the above will be consistently less open, less playmaking than not.

Tomorrows technically a road game but it's not really...would be a good time to play with tempo in what should be a pretty quiet crowd...

Play fast dammit

I think the team needs to keep looking for an elite guy because that's really the only way to get consistent play from the position and regular playoff appearances.

News Flash: Roughly 28 teams are looking for an "elite" QB.

That word just gets abused. You have a good handful or two of franchise QB's but there are only 3-4 "elite" QB's in the NFL right now and most are getting long in the tooth.
