Might be trying to deflect some heat off of Tony, might be trying to provide cover for Moore's 1st start in Miami, might be trying to get the DBs to overcompensate in shutting him down to open things up for the running game.

Personally, I think he has his eye on Tuesday's trading deadline. He's a young man, we've already paid him a lot of money, and we have a major rebuild ahead of us. The most likely suitor for his services after the Jets game would be a team with legitimate playoff aspirations. An 0-5 problem wouldn't be his problem anymore.
