Personally, I would like to see Taylor remain a Dolphin for at least one more year while we continue to rebuild, but if we were to trade him, what is a realistic expectation?

I can't see us getting more than a 3rd rounder for him because of age, but maybe a team needs that final piece to make a run next year.

Also, I hope Taylor is given some say in his future, but I realize this is a business and we are rebuilding. I do think he is a Parcells type player though and the fact that he wasn't cut like zach shows Parcells knows Taylor has value on this team or in a trade.

What do you guys think?

I think JT is worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for him. San Francisco really saw something in some corner from Buffalo and payed him 80 million dollar contract. Not every one would've. If he fits the system he is worth more. We could probably get as much as a 2nd round pick and some player/players from one team. And not so much as a 3rd-4th from another.

I agree he is worth a second but some teams might just offer a 3rd and a 5th but you know if it's a 3rd & 4th being offered i believe the trigger shall be pulled.

I said myself a 3rd-4th could be offered from some team but I'd never see Parcells pulling trigger on such a trade. JT is a Fan Favorite, Franchise player, and a HUGE team leader. I seriously doubt this is what would be the end of JT.

I think you could still get a 2nd rounder for JT....he was the Defensive Player of the Year just about a year ago and he has not fallen off. I would still like to see JT here with the Phins but if he also feels like he has to move on so he can win a ring elsewhere, I wouldn't hold it against him. The NFL Network said we might try to deal him while he still has some worth.

In all honesty, for a contending team that needs a passrushing DE, a first, no question. That said, Im not sure who fits the bill in that regard, most good teams have that spot filled I think. Maybe Jacksonville, Id check into it at least.

Jacksonvilles first, and swap of second rounders (the san diego one) or JT and a 6th for JVilles first. Something like that.

Just general market? A second. Honestly, hes got 3-4 good years left. Motivated on a good team, I wouldnt put it past him to get double digit sacks and be among the league leaders. He can still be an asset, just a question of someone paying the price.

I think that if we can get a pick between 50 and 80, we would be getting a good enough deal.

this year hes a 2nd rounder, after this season he'll better be 35, 4th rounder at best.....i love jt, but its decesion time

Who knows. Some here think 2nd rounder, which I think is too high. Maybe low 3rd or 4th. He was talking about retirement last season. Who would invest a 2nd rounder in a guys thats thinking about retiring?

Plenty here thought that ZT was of third round value. He got cut. Where does that leave JT?

What's up with all this talk about trading JT?? C'mon guys, he's the face of our franchise and still definitely one of the top 5 DE's in the league. He's worth every penny we pay him!!

i say if we were to trade him,we ask for a 2nd rounder due to his age,but it remains to be seen if he gets traded.

we'd better get something for him and quickly, he's got aspirations you know. {theres nothing wrong with that just not on Mr. H's watch}

i'll take third and a fourth for him right now.
